I know nothing about politics. There you have it.

With that in mind, what is the process in which one can get a new city ordinance passed in Florence?

I manage a mobile home park where we rent lots only. We have a fair set of rules which is usually no problem for our tenants to follow. Occassionally we may have to give someone a notice on a particular issue but they usually get right on it. We also do a good bit of applicant screening before we let someone in but with the privacy act and such it is a very dificult process.

The new landlord/tenant laws have made some things much better for landlords and tenants but when it comes to renting lots only it can be a very expensive process to get someone off the property. You can't simply evict them.

So, if I could get some city ordinance passed regarding some issues here such as unauthorized tenants(those that have moved into another tenants home) maybe the process would be much simpler and keep this a nice, quiet, orderly place to live. For the most part their is no "trailer trash" here and we want to keep it that way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Thats actually what got me looking into a city ordinance. While searching the net I noticed that some cities do actually have ordinances concerning mobile home parks with rented lots.
