How is the road in Elgin??

Sorry, I don't know. I have heard of a bad wreck up on Highway 43, but I don't know any names. Is that close to Elgin?

In Alabama, 43 would be between Killen and the state line, so not really close to elgin.

I hope people are ok.

Oh, just heard from a friend who heard from a deputy...three fatalities in that wreck.

Times Daily just posted a short blurb - "2 die in wreck". My heart goes out to their families.

I hope your friend's friend is okay!

P.S. I'm directionally challenged - couldn't rembmer where 43 was.

She heard from her friend who had left home without her cell phone and then decided to go extra places on her shopping trip.

She was just fine, and surprised that friends and family were worried about her.

We need to keep our phones with us!!

Glad all is well but you say Elgin does anyone know what food they are now serving in the former Ricks?

I was in Lexington at about noon today and roads were totally covered with ice and slush.

I attempted to stop at a stop sign and slide for 30 feet (and was not going fast at all when I started to stop.)

well thats no good. i don't have to go all the way to lexington but i do have to go 2 miles north of Elgin. this won't be the first time i drive on ice but it's not me i worry about, its the other people on the road that may or may not know how to drive on ice that scares me.
