When should we hang our hummingbird feeders?
____
You should hang them right away, based on historical information about dates of arrival at various locations. A 2014 map of sightings this spring shows them to already be on the move in our region. See map below and more at this link:

The link below is a very comprehensive and helpful guide to feeding hummingbirds:

I agree with Contendah. I've read several articles recently that basically said the same thing.
That being said I haven't seen any here yet this year.
I put mine out about two weeks ago -- it's empty. Not because of the hummingbirds but because I have purchased yet another $#*!!^ feeder that leaks!
Have been visited by Ruby Throats for a couple of weeks.

Because you spent too much money on it!
I put out four feeders March 29 and saw the first hummingbird April 11. They feed daily and really flock in close to sunset. I really do enjoy them!
Over the years, the earliest I have seen hummers is April 4th. The latest was April 26th. I usually hear them tweeting before I actually see them. I put my feeders out the beginning of April just to be safe. I think we only get the Ruby throated ones here; other kinds are all west of the Mississippi river.
We only have about 5 or 6 regulars that I see daily here. I can remember a couple of years back when there'd be 10 to 15 of them fighting over the feeders and zooming over my head constantly when i'd sit out on the porch.
A local hummingbird expert told me that they always arrive about the time when red buckeye blooms. I have always remembered that! This is early, usually late March or early April. I try to keep mine refilled and refreshed every few days, especially during the hot days. Don't buy the colored stuff, just boil 1 part sugar to 4 parts water.
