Impeachment: Why Stop At Bush?

This article is good reading, I like how it points out the democrats too! democrats need to go with Bush and Cheney.

If we waited on the UN to do something, we would all be speaking Arabic in a few years. It is a good thing they weren't around before WWI or WWII. Can you imagine them telling Hitler don't do that any more or we will put sanctions on you? About the same results are going to be seen with Iran. So what. What is the UN going to do about Iran? Nothing that will work. The UN needs to be disbanded. It and the Geneva Convention stuff have outlived their days of being effective.

Umm, the UN was right about Saddam. There were no WMD or connection to al Qaeda. Events have shown that the invasion was not only a mistake but has been described by US intelligence and military people as the greatest blunder the US has ever made. Hatred of the US has spread throughout the region and the world. It has been the best recruiting tool al Qaeda had as their numbers grow.

Now these Madmen are lying again and threatening Iran.

The comparison with Hitler is interesting. Today we have the strongest country in the world attacking weaker counties on lies to steal their resources. The UN seems to be unable to stop these mad men from attacking Iran and plunging the world into another world war.

You were lied too by Bush and the media while the democrats fell in line. They are all guilty of war crimes. That's why the media drops the subject and democrats down play it and tell us "impeachment is off the table," they are all "co-conspirators."

Well, the number of Americans who are tired of being lied too and watching this horror, death and suffering is growing and we feel impeachment is what they all deserve and we are doing our best to get the wheels of justice in motion.


Then hopefully the they can stand trial at the Hague.

Yes, the democrats and the media are "co-conspirators" in lies and war crimes.

Though the definition of Treason is something along the lines of trying to overthrow the government, I like a definition once used by Thomas Jefferson when defending people who were being accused of Treason for dissenting from government policies. He said Treason was when you did something to harm the country. I think that lying about a war which has caused so much death and suffering on both sides falls under the definition of harming the country Especially when we see US soldiers killed and mained and how hatred of the US has grown and how it has diverted money needed here to the war, death and destruction.

The war is illegal and based on lies. The truth was known and reported all along by the progressive press and the foreign press but ignored by the govenrment, the democrats and our mainstream media.

Bush also admitted wiretapping without a court order. That's a crime.

He also authorized kidnappings, secret prisons and torture, which has resulted in deaths. And now this congress has rubber stamped his kangaroo military courts.

Time to enforce the rule of law and impeachment.

If we had waited for the Iraqis to do anything, we would still be waiting for the war. Haven't you noticed, CONSERVATIVES NAMED BUSH IN OFFICE, WAR WITH IRAQ.

How disappointed the founders must be, after fighting to give us a government designed for the People, to see it corrupted into a nation that protects the exploitation of people not only here, but all round the world. They tried, the Constitution requires the president to "enforce the law of nations." It literally and without any equivocation, REQUIRES the United States to be a model citizen in the world community. Imagine what they must be thinking of this nation at war with a tiny, disarmed bit of a country, in the far off Middle East. A war thast flies in the face of the majority of the world's governments. A war of Aggression, openly being fought to expand American Influence and control of the destinies of other people.

YOU BET THEY SHOULD BE IMPEACHED, CHENEY AND BUSH FIRST, AND THEN LET PELOSI FIRE THE REST OF THEM.

Interesting Credentials for this speaker. It is a speech not an article, it was delivered by a Journalism Professor from the University of Texas at Austin. Interesting town, Austin, George Bush worked there while he was Governor of Texas, and technically Professor Jensen's boss.

Professor Jensen does not end his list of potential candidates for impeachment with Bush and Cheney, or even the Democratic Leadership of the US Congress, or the Republican leadership that actually got us into the war in Iraq, he carries his condemnation to the Corporate Media, and to specified reporters, and eventually into the laps of EACH AMERICAN.
Considering the Subject of the Rally, the published list of grievances "Illegal Wars, Loss of constitutional Rights, Torture, Deceit and Election Fraud" it is clear that he exceeded his own mandate, or he was presenting a Metaphorical call for all Americans to atone for the sins of our leaders.

I have been familiar with Jensen since his writing and speaking out against the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 caused a number of conservatives to demand he be fired from the University of Texas. His articles are regularly carried in progressive publications like Z Magazine and it's site Z Net as well as the Nation, the Progressive the Truthout site (www.Truthout.org) and as we see here the Tom Paine site. He has been a guest on the program Democracy Now with Amy Goodman.(www.democracynow.org)

He is an outspoken critic of Bush's policies. He will also write on the role of religion in today's society. His motives always seem to be justice and peace. I think I have seen him once on CNN but I hardly watch mainstream media any more. It's spin, gossip and distracting non news stories that do nothing but confuse and mislead people.

The article does say it's a speech. He seems to be trying to motivate and inspire his audience and he is one of a number of people and groups trying by pass the stonewalling and cover up of our governments lies and crimes. The mainstream media and democrats are co-conspirators in these crimes. They never questioned Bush on his lies and ignored contrary evidence that was appearing in the progressive press and the foreign press. That's why they are ignoring the impeachment issue now. The American people believe and trust their media but they have been betrayed.

It's no the first time this has happened. I saw it in the 60's in Vietnam. The media first backed the war but when opposition began to grow at home and expose the lies they were forced to jump sides and tell the truth to maintain credibility. Today the Internet provides us the tools we need.

The media watch group FAIR monitored the media prior to the war and pro war guests, generals, ex generals, pro war representatives and right wing think tanks and pundits dominated the air wave and print something like 92 to 95% of the time over anti war guests. It was a full court press. It's something that Professor Noam Chomsky calls "Manufacturing Consent." Which is what we saw. The only problem is it backfired. The war is a disaster and now the American people are asking questions. Instead of before the invasion.

Jensen is not blaming the American people for the war because he has spent the last few years exposing these lies and the media's role. He is saying that the responsibility to stop this war and to carryout justice now rests on the American people and asks that we examine if we are doing our part.

Jensen must be one of those cut and run Democrats that those George W"s were talking about back durning the last elections or is he one of those preachers that stood up in the pull pit and said they were not a Republican or Democrat and went on to tell there flock what a great man George was not saying how many love ones got killed that week or weekend and to pray for another war over a mass destruction lie and how much money the big Cronies made on the stock,You think they would worry about the plate coming up short if they didn't go along to get along. I know you need to pray for your leaders, I've heard that more than once, But it comes a time you need to knock the dust off your shoes, Hit your knees, The damage is done, Over thirty two hundred have died, but who's counting, Maybe ten over the weekend, Don't cut and run as long as your love ones aren't dieing and you are making money on it.

To begin with there were no terrorists in Iraq and Iraq did not attack us. Saddam had no patience for Islamic extremists, especially ones that wanted to overthrow him and install an extreme Islamic State.

Iran and Syria have also been at war with al Qaeda for the same reasons and both cooperated with the US after the 9/11 attacks. They also made peace offers that were rebuffed. The only terrorists in Iran right now are the ones the US and Israel are supporting.

It will take years for Iran to develop a nuclear weapon and when they do they will only be able to make a few. Israel is reported to have at least four hundred. Iran's capability would obviously be as a deterrent. There is plenty of time to come to a peaceful solution.

The people of Iran are very unhappy with the current government and want peace and freedom. The next government they elect could be a lot more liberal and not as belligerent. An attack on Iran will only solidify support for the government and give them an excuse to crack down on dissent.

Bush wants to control the region and the oil and Israel wants to expand it's borders beyond their legal borders to bible borders. They have been stealing land and ethnically cleansing the land. We need to enforce international law and peace. Without US $$$$$ dollars Israel could not afford it's expansionist polices and territorial demands and would be forced to accept peace with it's neighbors.

There were no WMD or connection to al Qaeda. Even the US government has said so.

It's time for the American people to demand accountability from our leaders and media. Depite what the media and the demoocrats say as far as the Americans people are concerned Impeachment is "on the table" and we should not stop with just Bush and Cheney.

Our lives and our childrens future depend on it.
