Okay, I don't normally make fun of men who cry - with the exception of crazies like Beck, 'cause that's pure entertainment - but why would you cry when talking about putting yourself through school unless you're snockered?

The man grew up working in 'dad's tavern' and he's slurring. Highly suspect...that's all I'm sayin'.

The real fun starts at 4:00.

One things for sure: He made no stops in Rogersville, Alabama before the speech for firewater of any kind.

I'm no fan of Boehner by any means, but I'm thinking that after a long tiring campaign, it might have been mentioning his father got to him, you know, wishing his father could be here to see him win. Just a guess, but I know that sometimes when I least expect it, I still get choked up when I'm talking about something my father did or said - and he's been gone for 15 years now.

Thanks for the sensitivity butter.

Some men do cry, believe it or not.

Oh, I was just going for a little levity, considering the months of humorless campaign mud-slinging we've all had to endure.

I know the man normally slurs as much as Tom Brokaw when he speaks, but I swear he sounds drunk in the video.

(Try reading my posts with a sense of humor more often, because many times I'm just having a little fun.)

Republican House Minority Leader John Boehner gave an impassioned speech on Wednesday dismissing as false persistent rumors that he is a secret alcoholic. "I have an illness that precisely mimics the effects of alcoholism," said the Republican "From the reddish skin, to the gaunt appearance, to the slurred speech, to the glazed and unfocused eyes - this rare illness makes innocent sufferers appear that they are alcoholics when in fact they are not."Boehner declined to elaborate on any precise details with regards to this "rare illness" but explained that "the disease even produces bacteria in the mouth that produce a strong alcohol-like smell that scientists say resembles the odor of something known as 'Jack Daniels'."

I have no problem seeing a man with enough feelings to cry. I've cried before myself. Any military person that heas ever served in war has cried at some point. It's definately not a sign of weakness. As for you juan, you're just pathetic.

I have no personal knowledge whether or not Boehner is "many more times the man I might pretend to be" without some crude locker room comparison.

Now, keep in mind I am a woman. I'm not the girliest of girls, but I'm not Chastity Bono either...feminine but definitely not high maintenance. Having said that, I've met plenty of men with a smaller, um, set than mine (emotionally and mentally speaking, that is).

Yes, it's fine and completely normal for a man to cry; I rather enjoy it. Big Grin Again, I was just having a little fun. If God didn't mean for us to cry, he wouldn't have given us the ability to do so.

Crying is not a sign of weakness in a man. A weak man is a man who is needy, has no backbone or direction, and has no respect for women, children, or himself.

You might want to run down to the free clinic and have them check it for you.

There are no free clinics in AlObama. I'll have to go to the Emergency Room. At least thats almost free.
Just tell them you're a democrat, they'll get you right in out of fear of being sued.

Absolutely correct. If the day ever does come that they start deporting illegals they can start at the ER, Health Dept. and all other freebie giveaway offices.

That silly quote may be disproved with a short google:

Free Medical Clinics and Free Dental Clinics in Alabama

Rocky and others, please note: As you valiently defend Dear John Boehner, you seem not to be aware of his position, He is NOT a senator. He is in congress and is now Speaker of the House. See, that position is in CONGRESS NOT the senate.
I like nothing about him, and it seems I am better informed than some of you with rose colored glasses and less than adaquate info. Not to progress is to stagnate That is why I left the GOP. Bunch of K street, hoary-haired stagnent folks who are suspiciouc of education and in their heart of hearts, scared of European decent caucasions being the minority. i am not afraid, and I am one of the European descendents. Oh, and whether or not you choose to accept it, the earth is way, way older than ten thousand years. Sorry. It is.

When I saw the House fall to the dark side, I wanted to cry myself.
