MAJOR MOVIE SET FOR RELEASE ON EASTER DETAILS VISIONS

OF HEAVEN BY EVANGELICAL BOY WHO ALSO SAW VIRGIN MARY

In the coming days, much will be said about a major movie, Heaven is For Real, that opens on Easter Sunday.

We wrote about this account when it was in book form (see here).

It's a wonderful story of the son of an evangelical minister who dies and returns after a burst appendix.

Though you won't read much about it, the boy, Colton Burpo, of Nebraska, told his Protestant dad, Todd -- his minister-dad -- that besides various biblical figures, and many angels, and the Lord, he had seen the Blessed Mother standing next to Jesus in Heaven.

That's powerful -- coming from a boy whose dad's religion would be loathe to consider Mary a major figure (as Catholics do).

A reviewer noted:

"The Burpos' middle child (his younger brother was not born until 2005), Colton reveals that he has traveled extensively throughout Heaven, meeting dearly departed family members, and luminaries of the faithful, including God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

"Todd is even able to report to Catholic friends that Colton 'saw Mary kneeling before the throne of God and at other times standing beside Jesus .'"

Considering the tremendous accuracies of this boy's descriptions of deceased relatives, his documented medical condition, and his understanding of Scripture -- even though he had not read it (he was not quite four years old when he succumbed) -- it's a beautiful confirmation and insight into the Virgin Mary's standing and role in the afterlife.

"Kneeling before the throne of God and at other times standing beside Jesus.'"

Now, in Heaven: before the Throne: as she knelt before the Cross at Calvary!

Standing beside Jesus, as she did to the bitter, excruciating end.

Who could better define her role? What could more clearly portray her intercession?

Out of the mouths of babes.

And from an evangelical (many of whom not only downplay the role of Mary, but often declare her miracles as diabolical)!

As one blogger reported, after attending one of Colton's book signings, "I then asked him if he happened to meet Jesus' mother. He kind of hesitated, looked at his dad and then said 'umm....I don't really remember if I did or not.' His dad then politely asked for the next person in line. I carry a small finger rosary with me that is about the size of a quarter and can go around your finger. While I was talking to Colton I had it on my left index finger and was spinning it with my thumb. He didn't take any notice of it but his dad did. When I asked about Jesus' mother his dad nervously swallowed and then hurried me on after Colton said he couldn't remember."

We don't want to quibble over that.

What's the use?

Let's rejoice in this boy's incredible descriptions of Heaven -- which are so akin to other near-death experiences.

No doubt, the special effects -- roads of gold, chrysolite, crystal waters, a city of light -- will be intriguing; perhaps unforgettable; if we see it we'll let you know, if you don't see it yourself.

We're usually not moviegoers, but if the movie is like the book (which our own young daughter read, and which topped The New York Times bestseller list for weeks), it may be worth going to.

Pray for us, oh Blessed Mother: now and at the hour of death, Amen.

Vic, my Friend,

Simple answer:   YES, heaven is real!   And, it is the eternal home for all Christian believers, i.e., all saints.

Your copy/paste tells us:

Though you won't read much about it, the boy, Colton Burpo, of Nebraska, told his Protestant dad, Todd -- his minister-dad -- that besides various biblical figures, and many angels, and the Lord, he had seen the Blessed Mother standing next to Jesus in Heaven.

Nothing unusual about that.  I have not doubt whatsoever that I will see my mom standing in fellowship with Jesus Christ when I get there -- as will billions of other Christian believers.  Matter of fact, I have no doubt that my mom is chatting with Jesus right now; maybe having tea with Him -- and very likely Mary and many other moms, i.e., saints who has earthly children, are enjoying fellowship with Him at this very moment.  Nothing at all unusual about that.

And, after the Tribulation, when He returns, His Second Coming in glory to establish His 1000 year Millennial Kingdom on earth -- all of us saints, including Mary and my mom, will return with Him where we will enjoy being part of the immortal inhabitants, along with those mortal believers who survive the Tribulation, as He rules the earth, the perfect theocracy, for 1000 years.   Then, He will replace this old worn out heaven and earth with a new heaven, a new earth, and with the New Jerusalem come down from heaven.

Then, He will take all of we believers, mortal and immortal, into eternity with Him -- where we shall enjoy the presence of God:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- forever.

Wow!  Heaven is going to be great!   I know that Mary is going to be a wonderful, loving person.   And, I am sure she will get a good laugh out of the elevated position that Roman Catholics have tried to establish for her -- while all the time she is just another very happy saint enjoying heaven and the presence of our God.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Vic, my Friend,

Just curious.  What is it you are a "believer" in -- the Pope, the Vatican, the Apocrypha, Catechisms, your local priest?  Maybe you can clarify that for us.

But, now you see the danger of hanging with atheist like the Puppy from Noo Yawk!   You're hanging with atheists instead of getting into a good Bible study where you could, I hope, learn and grow in your knowledge of God's Word (all 66 books).

If you had spent your time in Bible study, you would know that Hades had, in pre-crucifixion days, two compartments:  Paradise and Torment.    When Christ resurrected, He led the believers from Hades/Paradise (Bosom of Abraham) into Heaven/Paradise, permanently closing down Hades/Paradise.

Of course, Hades/Torment is still open and doing an active business.  Maybe that is where many Roman Catholics go -- thinking they are going to Purgatory.  That would explain a lot.  But, boy, can't you imagine the look on their faces when they find that they are really in the holding tank for hell?

If you are interested, you can read all about this in Luke 16:19-31.   And, if you have trouble understanding that Scripture passage -- you should find a good Christ-centered, Bible-teaching Protestant local church -- and join in on their Bible study.   That could be an eternal life-changing experience for you.

And, for his sake, you might try to get your Noo Yawk buddy, the Puppy, to join you.  That would also be doing him a very big favor.

Just a thought.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

So, professor, tell us please! What shall it be; all of us or all of we?

The multitude of your followers is hanging on you words!

Well, Dove, my Friend,

I praise God that ALL my mistakes were grammatical -- and not Biblical.   I can live with an occasional grammatical error.  But, I would hate to think that I made a Biblical error in my sharing with folks.

And, since all you can find are grammatical errors -- either you are not Biblically astute -- or I am Biblically correct.

Bless your little heart!

First, why do you object to Vic reaching out to the Pup?

Second, who do you think Jesus would reach out to? You, me or the Pup?

Hi Ubu,

There is a difference between "reaching out" to someone with the Gospel -- and joining their gang.  Personally, I have NEVER seen Vic reach out to anyone on the forum -- except maybe with hammer in hand.

Who would Jesus reach out to -- and seek to save?  I believe He would be encouraging you and me to witness to both Puppy and Vic.    But, with both I believe the lesson of the old farmer selling his gentle mule to the city slicker might be the only way to reach either.

If you recall the story, City Slicker (probably from Noo Yawk) goes to Mr. Farmer to buy a mule.  Mr. Farmer tells him, "This mule is very sensitive.  You have to treat him very gently."

City Slicker pays Mr. Farmer for the mule and takes the rein to lead him into the trailer.   Mule stubbornly stands there and refuses to move.   Mr. Farmer walks over, picks up a 2 X4 and hits the mule on the head.

City Slicker is aghast!   "You told me to treat him gently!"

"That is true," said Mr. Farmer, "but, first, you have to get his attention!"

And, we Christian believers need to get the attention of some of our atheist, agnostic, secularist, and just plain old vanilla-flavored non-believing Forum Friends.

Ubu, my Friend, how are your spiritual 2X4s doing?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Another failed analogy by Bill.  I believe Bill's hero, Paul, has a few things to say on Christian demeanor, something Bill needs to revisit.

"Don't criticize, and then you won't be criticized. For others will treat you as you treat them. And why worry about a speck in the eye of a brother when you have a board in your own? Should you say, 'Friend, let me help you get that speck out of your eye,' when you can't even see because of the board in your own? Hypocrite! First get rid of the board. Then you can see to help your brother. (TLB, Matthew 7:1-5)

“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you” (Ephesians 4:31-32

My spiritual "2 X 4's" are just fine.

Now as far as Vic "joining their gang", he professes a belief in Jesus Christ. I guess that kinda speaks for itself.

As far as Vic "reaching out". I saw him reach out to Semi just a few days ago. Of course his words were ridiculed, but never the less........................

I could also say that he has posted words of encouragement on days I was feeling weak. Maybe he didn't know he was reaching out, but his words came at the right moment.

Do I agree with him always? Nope. Nor does he with me, and that's okay.

Ubu, my Friend,

For most of my life, if anyone asked if I was Christian, I would always declare in a positive manner, "Yes.  I am Christian.  I was born and raised in Alabama, the belt buckle of the Bible Belt.  I believe in God and Jesus Christ.  I attended church the Nazarene, Methodist, and Baptist church as a youngster.  Yes, I am a Christian!"

And, I said those things sincerely, actually believing I was a Christian.   But, I was far from being a Christian.  Matter of fact, I was as far from being a Christian as one could be in this mortal life.

I did not become a Christian believer until the age of fifty -- when I met a Godly pastor who taught what it meant to be a Christ Follower.

Many people, like Vic, and like me for many years -- wear a Christian hat, claim the name -- but are not Christian.  I am not saying that Vic is not a believer -- but, his actions and nasty comments speak loud and clear against that being true.

He copy/pastes many "religious" articles -- but, 90% of his posts are nasty retorts against anyone who is not Roman Catholic -- or who refutes that religion.

While neither you nor I can say for sure -- we can both certainly make an educated guess.  And, my guess is that we need to pray for Vic to receive the Lord and be saved.   Just my thoughts.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

I'm not saying that our resident troll was smoking pot or looking in the mirror when he attempted writing about what he called Vic's behavior being unChristian-like... As we all well know, it is he whose actions and nasty comments speak loud and clear about his being a Christian... It is 90% of he (our resident troll) whose posts attack those who are Catholic or who do not agree with his twisted idea of Christianity! It is he who is most filled with bigotry and hatred, especially against all things Catholic... It just amazes me that he has the nerve to post the things that he does about my forum friends. I know he would never have the fortitude to say these things to peoples faces. He's a little twit, not worthy of our responses... But I find it impossible to sit back and watch him attack my forum friends... The frightening thing is I think he believes a lot of what he writes...

Sad...

________

What's sad is that he's not smoking pot or looking in the mirror when he attempts to write about any of us. It's nothing but his being a mean, hateful, bully. From what I've been told, he's been a liar & a bully all of his life. So much so that his family in Alabama can't stand him, & has nothing to do with him.

That makes sense, though I had pictured him as the town sissy, bullied most of his life, afraid of women, always attempting to make a name for his worthless self... Thanks for the info...
