The bottom may be deeper than it appears. The brown may be balsamic vinegar.. Its a tasty dish I've had at some restaurants, but not soul food.
Nothing can dress up tomato soup for me. The rest of the family likes it. I use balsamic vinegar all the time, wouldn't have thought to pair them. I guess that's why they get the big bucks.
Point being, you pay what you want to, or not.
