Looks like Muscle Shoals Kmart survived another round of Cuts, So Far, cuts still to be announced by Sears Holdings. Erosion of market share & no operating money, as cause for closures. 2 closures in Alabama are Cullman & Gardendale. 6 in Tennessee.

Moody's analysts warned this week that Kmart doesn't have enough cash or access to cash to stay in business. Kmart has about 870 stores today, down from about 1,300 in 2012.

Sears has not yet made an official announcement publically, but only to those stores being closed. They are to begin clearance sales on Sept. 22 and final closure mid Dec. 2016.

Never did a lot of shopping at Kmart. We have one here, but I don't think it's that popular.

Completely understand, Same here, even their web site is not friendly like Walmart.com,. it's a bit confusion if you want to go to it to check on a competitive price of an particular item.. takes too long to navigate and get out.

Sears & Kmart will not be around 10 years from now, in my opinion, based upon by buying experience at both outlets.
