Leave Tiger Alone

While I personally agree with you, when a person makes a billion dollars from being a public figure he does lose some privacy that we normal citizens enjoy. If these people had the same impetus towards things that really matter like crooked politicians or the global warming hoax we would all be better off.

Agreed. What Tiger does privately doesn't affect his ability to entertain us when he plays golf. Sports figures are professionals like any other professional. They should not be held to role model standards. For that matter, neither should politicians.

they know going in the consequences of being famous so i'm sure that this is nothing Tiger didn't expect. however i think the media is giving this way too much attention. so what he cheated, yes its wrong but c'mon he's only human.

Trouble is, his wife sounds like an alpha female.

I don't know what she's so mad about. She's got Tiger cubs and a Tiger by the tail. Literally.

The reason it's a big deal is because it goes a little deeper than just a rich, sports figure cheating and being human. For example, like with any sports figure, given what Tiger has done and been involved in, you'll have people (especially the older golfing crowd from the south) that will no longer support the companies that suppot Tiger with megabucks because of this situation. That's what makes the media jump on these things. I've already heard people saying "If you support Nike and Gillette, you support an adulterer!" CRAZINESS! But as long as sports figures and celeberties make the majority of their income because of public support that spend money with companies that support them, well then, Exposure, Exposure, Exposure! At least until the horse raises from the dead so they can beat it back down again. Such is life.

It was just reported that Phil Mickelson contacted Tiger's wife to pick up some tips on how to beat Tiger!

Apparently the police asked Tiger's wife how many times she hit him. She said "I don't know exactly… but put me down for a 5."

If you want your "private life" private, then keep it that way. It was Tiger that made it public. Whatever went on in the house was his business. When he took it outside, he made it public. He sounded just a little bit whinney, on that voice-mail. How dumb can you get?

If I were to get involved in something like this, the cops will find me lying on the floor in a pool of blood with my old lady standing over me saying “How do I reload this **** thing?”

I don't have much sympathy for him either. Here's a guy who is paid millions to hit a stupid ball in a hole. If he can afford to pay his mistress 1 million to keep her from doing a press conference today, he deserves what is coming to him.

And now we know they're both swingers, too.

I personally think it's hillarious. He has been seen as such a goody two shoes and perfect role model American icon for so long it's kinda funny to see him as the real(human) person behind the over-inflated public image.

If I made the money he does, I would gladly take the hash from the public.

The arrogant so-and-so certainly didn't mind the publicity when it was all favorable. He can just take his lumps now.
