I know this may sound silly but I will be praying for our President.

I will be praying that our President will soon realize the errors of his and his administration’s way.

I will pray that the economy will not crash before President Obama will come together with those from the other side of the isle, whit both parties acting in the best interest of America.

This Election was about what direction our Country will be on for the next four years. This Country at this point in time is so evenly split on what voters identify and as far as ideals in which way this Country should head. So I offer my support for President Obama, as long as he acts in the best interest of this great Country. And for my non praying friends I offer a Great Wish and Hope.

I suggest that you forward your prayerful intentions to Mitch McConnell, Senate obstructionist who baldly stated that his chief priority was to assure that the President was not re-elected.

Now that McConnell's agenda is down the toilet, perhaps he should be advised that there are many in this nation who hope that he will abandon his rigid, unidirectional obstructionism and act like a senator is supposed to.

Hi Skippy! I know that you wanted Romney to win, but I must compliment you on your gracious words. I believe Obama IS taking the country in the right direction and I know you don't, but I am pleased and not at all surprised at the class your post shows. I too will be praying for our president, and I will of course be praying for you too my firend.

And I will be praying for you my friend.

We can’t hope he (President Obama) fails, because our country will fail.

And yes for Old Mitch and the rest of the bunch I also will be praying. Everyone has got to help make it work.

Ono I know this is the wrong forum but just curious, how did your conversion to the Catholic Church come about?

I know you probably studied this thing completely. And it is what is right for you.

May God bless you and our Country.

Skippy

Skippy, I think I have always been Catholic in my heart. I attended the Catholic Church many years ago with my late husband but never converted. It wasn't that I didn't want to then, but scheduling problems prevented me from taking classes.

A lot of what caused me to take the leap now is what I have read on this forum. Veep and HoD and Vic have helped me to see that it is where I belong. And believe it or not, the constant Catholic bashing Bill does spurred me along. Every time he would make a (false) claim, I would look it up and see how wrong he is. The more I read, the more I realized that I needed to follow my heart. I believe the Holy Spirit used Bill's hatefulness to show me that the time is now.

I am very happy in my choice.

I hope you and yours are well and safe. I swear, one of these days I WILL make it out to Utah again to visit your beautiful state, and when I do, I will contact you so I can meet you in person and shake your hand.

So O no, you as a Christian are saying that you support abortion, including full term and after birth abortions? Are you saying you support homosexuality? I wish you would show me the scriptures that support your beliefs. I have a hard time believing a Christian could support ripping apart a precious baby just because they believe a woman has a right to murder her baby.

^^^^^this is a perfect example of what is wrong with the Republican Party. Your crazy ass religion has no place in govt. How does a gay couple getting married impact YOUR life? All you and people like you want to do is have govt force YOUR religion down the throats of others.

As I have said before, banning abortion will not stop a woman from getting an illegal one. Banning gay marriage will not put an end to homosexuality. If God wanted people to follow MAN'S law, He would see to it that legislation passed banning these things. But God is interested in who CHOOSES to follow HIS law, and rather than judging someone's adherence to the law of the land, He judges our HEARTS. That is why He gave us free will.

Kenny I don’t know if you are referring to my “crazy a** religion” or what, but the LDS Church was not running for President. As far as Gay Marriage, this Mormon doesn’t give a hoot who puts what where. I believe in live and let live along with about half my Church. The other half is too snooty for me. As far as what someone does or how they live, as long as it doesn’t effect in a bad way someone else, it’s their business. Abortion affects the life to be. Unless the Mother’s health is in danger or rape or incest, in my opinion abortion shouldn’t be legal. Back to crazy a** religion, I agree with Best. All religions if you really look at them and their writings from the outside look NUTS.

O No my friend I look forward to the day I meet you either in Utah or Alabama.

Skippy

Why aren't democrats honest enough to admit that plenty, PLENTY, way too many, of democrats are anti-gay, racist, and everything the radical democrats accuse Republicans of being?  Why can't they be honest enough to admit that PLENTY of Republicans aren't those things? I see more of those type of dems than I do the kind the bunch of dems on here claim to be. And I say claim because their posts make it clear what they are.

They're not voting for democrats because they care about others, they're self-centered and they're voting their own pocketbooks. It's that complete dishonesty and unwillingness to even give a nod to the fact that they have too many snakes in their party that don't give a rat's behind about "the good of the people" that makes me sick. They do that while pointing a finger at everyone else in the Republican party. How is it possible that an entire party of people are all heartless rich ******** and religious nuts as they claim, but their entire party is all sunshine and light, poor and humble? In truth that should be flipped. Listen to them talk, it's all there. It's always about them.

I wouldn't let an animal starve or go without shelter, but they tell me I want to starve, yes starve other people. Then they tell me what a horrible person I am for not being OK with women jerking babies out of their bodies in pieces, or burned and killed by saline, or any of the other horrible ways they do it. That's my "war on women" as they put it. My two choices on that issue-either pay for their bc, which we already do, without any assurance they'll use it, or shut up about them scraping those babies out.

I have no problem helping truly needy people, that is exactly what anyone should do, and what we've always tried to do. I have a problem giving over my money to people that have more than I do while someone who really needs help falls by the wayside, and then  I'm accused of being the reason they do. So again, I have two choices only-hand over the money every time they ask and shut up about an accounting for it, or be called every name in the book, while they're telling me they luvvvvvvvvvvv people and prayyyyyyyyyyyy for people. IF they're praying it's just for even more ways to take somebody's money. We bought into that "invest in america" crap. We did what we were supposed to do. But since they're not willing to do the same, it's time we invested in ourselves.

I heard that McConnell recently said that his "number one priority is to make sure Obama is a two-term President."

Mitch McConnell is already back to obstruction at all costs

So you are saying that you think all liberals are coldhearted murderers? That they all go around looking for a boy's broom handle to stick up their behind? I wish you would show me where in the Constitution that it requires anybody to conform to your religious beliefs. I have a hard time believing that anyone not in a home for the mentally-challenged is capable of such limited, narrow minded, stereotypical thinking.

I'll continue to beat it until I'm sure it's dead.

Pretty much like anyone with a brain knows your dead copy/paste posts.

Huh!

What's not to like about copy and paste? That is proof that I didn't just make stuff up in the bubble like the right wing has been doing the past few years

I can see that you are jealous that I can do basic research to back up my arguments with facts -- unlike you, however, who just spew wildly whatever oozes from your atrophied brain.
