Limbaugh is making money and lots of it by giving the far right wing something to cheer about. Some people get off or get on a high when they listen to Limbaugh and other hate talk radio shows like his show.
Most of what I have heard him say is common sense. I have not heard any hate speech from the rich windbag. Liberals hate Rush and folks like him because they expose their agenda to the average voter. An informed voter is the ememy of liberalism.

Earth to Alabamians: This is as offensive as it gets. There is no truth to it. There are different kinds of stereotypes. Sorry. I'm not from the South, or the East for that matter. Stumbled on to this forum after a trip to Florence on business (when I thought I'd been picked up by aliens and transported to another planet). That day there was a post by someone who thought Palin was an intellectual, someone who is waiting for the rapture and someone who still believes Obama is a Muslim. It's now kind of like a train wreck I keep looking at. Certainly better than the Sunday Funnies. But it is a goldmine for my research.

For the record, you can find people who have the same beliefs and traits you disparage in pretty much any state, so your disdain for Alabama is nothing more than petty bigotry.
