Hey! Good idea. I heard that Nancy Hearn is wearing her new high-salaried "attitude" just about as high as Prob. Judge Crosslin.
She's holding alimony checks turned in on the first of the month until the last of the month for the recipients.
This penalizes a lot of women who can't make ends meet and their utilities bill has to be paid by the 22 of the month.
When the alimony check deadline is the first of the month for getting it in to Hearn, she now uses the money for as long as possible before passing it on (as is her job to do!) immediately to the person for whom it is paid to begin with.
Hearn definitely needs an opponent next time around. She made the statement to one old lady who begged her to "turn my alimony check over to me because I'm behind on my utilities bill already and this never happened until you changed the rules so you get to hold it until the end of the month," .... her response was that she is her own boss, like it or not, and it will be done my way!"
