Just watching Louisville Cardinals in the Sugar Bowl and their performance against Florida and was thinking the way they are playing we need them in the SEC.  Wonder if we could trade University of Kentucky for them since they both are in the same state?  I know that's time left in the game but looks like the gators are getting chomped tonight.

Win or Lose ... Congratulations Cardinals

That is what happens when you come out flat and unemotional in a bowl game. Florida looked totally unprepared for this game, but give Louisville credit, they came preparded and their coach is one of the best in the country. Louisville has got the facilities to compete in the SEC, but with the states flagship school already a member the SEC would look elsewhere for new members.

Actually I wasn't being serious about thinking that Louisville would potentially ever become an SEC School for I know Kentucky has that sewn up but the way Louisville has been playing compared to Kentucky is something.  Tennessee is still wishing they could have talked Strong into coming to Knoxville, I'm sure, but you got to respect Charlie for being Loyal and true to the ones who gave him a first chance and I guarantee you Louisville got their paycheck up there to where it wasn't that tough of a decision.   As for Auburn I'm looking forward to their future for I think they have the right person in the job and hope they can get competitive again.  Would love to see the National Championship be a tug a war between Auburn and Alabama but then there's just too much talent out there in College Football for that to happen.  Seems like it's getting harder and harder to repeat but I hope Alabama does it again this year, at Notre Dame's expense.

Kentucky exists in the SEC for one reason and one reason only.   Basketball.   They are, without a doubt, along with Duke, UNC, UCLA and a handful of others one of the most storied and popular basketball programs in the nation.   If it weren't for the draw they have in helping home gates for other teams, they probably would've been gone a long time ago.

As far as the game last night, Florida was the superior team but they were flat -- as one poster mentioned, they looked like they did not care at all.   But even beyond that, I'd say it was a bad matchup for Florida.   Florida likes to grind it out and play run first ball.   Louisville likes to get it up and down the field and play quick, whoever scores the most wins type of ball.    This was one team getting the game to go in their style and it benefitting them greatly.
