Well if it were Terrorist then it was not to smart ones because the Missile or whatever it was went the wrong direction from what a terrorist would want it to do.
Could be some our own government doing something they didn't exactly want to publicize and got revealed by the news chopper. Whoever it was or whatever it was wasn't inexpensive so someone spent some money.
As for the plane theory b50m, from what I saw, on video I really don't know either way but if it was a plane it had to be an extremely fast one with a very weird, unannounced (for a plane) flight plan.

That's one explanation but surely they checked flights that would have been in that area. Then you have the chance it's some sort of "homemade" missle but that's doubtful, it would have had to be a doozy.quote:

I think the most logical and reasonable explanation is that our own government launched it and meant it to be covert but didn't count on a news copter catching video of it. Could be some test of a missile defense weapon test or something like that.
Could be some foreign power just wanted to have a laugh at our expense but I doubt that also because I think we have such good undersea identification nets that we know when a foreign power parks a sub off our coast, that close.
We may never know what it is or was but in one way it's bad, if true, that NORAD never detected it in the first place for isn't that their duty?
It may have not been detectable because of it coming up from the sea. I don't know. I would guess secret jet mission or secret test fire of one of our own missiles.
