A police officer father in the United States has taken to social media to complain about a piece of artwork displayed at his daughter’s school.

Kentucky cop Dave Hamblin is outraged by the painting which depicts two black people with a gun pointed at their head.

On one half of the painting, under the title “1930″, a Ku Klux Klan member is pointing the gun.

On the other half, titled “2015″, a white police officer is shown pointing the gun at what looks like a African American child.

The painting was from a school project  inspired by racial violence depicted in Harper Lee’s book, To Kill A Mockingbird.

Police officer Dave Hamblin, who goes by the name Dave Kingmen on Facebook, says the picture is upsetting and creates “future cop haters”.

“We speak of tolerance, we speak of changing hostile environments, we speak of prejudice, and we speak of racial relations, yet, when it comes to hostility toward police, their families, and profiling them through bigotry we are expected to tolerate it,” “Kingmen” wrote.. “I will not, nor will my child.”

The cop has asked for the picture to be removed but the school has seemingly turned down his request.

“When discussing social injustice, people will likely be offended by some topic,” said  Tracy Green, a school spokesperson.

“The drawing is a student’s artistic representation based on the lens through which the student viewed that issue and the student has a First Amendment right to share that opinion.”

I see you are still looking at the same type cartoons.

I see you still don't have a clue. It's one of the same ones posted earlier. So what if it had been different jt? I know you think it's OK for blacks to make racist posters and cartoons calling for the murder of whites, so what's your problem with people seeing them? You racists sure get all torn up when the finger is pointing at your racist a****.

I do have a clue. What I really want to know is why it is so easy for white on black to be a hate crime and impossible for black on white to be a hate crime.

You want to know, yet you keep voting for the very ones ignorantly claiming it's impossible for black on white, or moslim on white, or any other "color" besides white, crime to be hate crimes, or any racist thing non-whites, the most racist people on the earth, do is fine and can't be called racist, or that men/women that are as white as they are black call themselves "black", which is in itself racist, instead of "mixed" or "bi-racial" So, ask the dem/lefty scum you keep voting for why that is happening.

I think the double standard we have in this country is blatantly obvious.  The whites just don't whine and cry about it and even if they did, the liberal media wouldn't report it.

Best, I don't remember the last time I won a vote on a state or federal senator or representative election. Have you voted to reelect the crop of republican law makers in DC and Montgomery? If so, read your post that I included in this post.

Way too many of them buy into the BS that just by being white they are somehow guilty of something, have some sort of "white privilege", and deserve what they get.

What does Alabama and the way I vote have to do with you? You supposedly live in TN. You helped put that pos obama into office twice, clinton was in twice, you will vote for another pos democrat, so don't be asking why race relations, and everything else a dem gets their claws into, are as ****** up as they are.

JT, help clean up Memphis, and when its done, please feel free to comment on Alabama and its ills.  Until then, clean up your own sty, first.

Memphis, it's at the edge of Tennessee and next to Mississippi and Arkansas. All those are solid, conservative, republican states. Maybe that's what is wrong with Memphis, too much republican influence.

Dire and Best, answer the question. Did either of you vote to reelect the current crop of senators and representatives in DC or Montgomery? Those are the ones responsible for the current mess things are in.

The current crop in Montgomery just got a majority.  The Dems got the Alabama in the shape its in over 150 years.  It will take the labors of Hercules to undo that.

Pretty much the same at the US Senate -- six years of Reid, to undo.

Hoob's comment says it best. Poor JT, like most liberals, can't draw logical conclusions from observed data and phenomenon.  Most of the large US cities are in a similar shape -- all the creatures of decades of Democrat misrule.

Except, that JT's felucca, unlike the one pictured, has ragged sails and is stuck on a sand bar.
