I asked Scott about this question. He saidthat first he has not said he is running for mayor. Everybody else is , but he has not. His friends and his enemies are saying it. This is creating a sense of inevitability. Scott said that people have the right to organize and if all city employees do that as their choice he will support that right and work with them. He understands why the Fire Dept did it. If city administration was better it might not be necessary but since it is the way it is he does not blame anyone for standing up for themselves. Scott will work to what is right under any scenario. If unionized he will work with them. If not, he will strive to be fair and up front with employees. That is what he said.
I forgot, one more thing, Scott told me that he has people everyday ask him to run for Mayor, or state legislature. One guy even said Congress. He knows things are out of kilter and that not quite right. If we encourage him enough he might do it. He knows what kind of sneaky snakes he is up against, but him and Karla are strong and would be fine first couple. Stay tuned.
The people will have their way. We have seen through the B-S and will now get it right next time. The real change is coming, this was a fake. Scott may be leaning towards it now is what I heard. The latest Irons B-S on the leg. pay raise pretty much did it. I heard from a person close to Scott that he is sickened by that, and other stuff too of course. That one really hit a nerve though. Anything we can do to put a stop to this B-S is needed and the sooner the better.
