Breakfast: Outpost 72. I liked the full breakfast better than Cracker Barrel.

Deli: Trojan House. Portions were large and filling. My favorite, club on wheat with pasta salad side.

BBQ: OK Corral. Slaw is somewhat sweet. I suggest the BBQ plate, over the sandwich. It's a better buy for the money. Close runner-up, Whitt's in Rogersville.

Luncheon Plate: That has yet to be decided as it depends on where I am working at and what is available. However, if working in Florence, the pick would go to Legend's.

Dinner: Nobody cooks like you mother, mother-in-law and/or grandmother. That too has yet to be decided, as I found nothing that has really impressed me for overall dinning experiences of value, taste, service, serving size to claim this title. Stanfields, Legend's and Logan's would rate a honorable mention, but not enough the claim the prize.

Seafood: Lash's especially when it is freshly cooked in the store. I'm not overly fond of catfish, but really enjoy theirs.

Burger: To be decided as I have good and bad from multiple locations, as I have a weakness for cheeseburgers. One of the best recently came from Bonnie's on Highway 101 north of Elgin. I have also gotten some good ones from King's Drive-in in Russellville. Always hot, fresh and loaded with onions, pickles, lettuce, etc.

Beverage choices: Sonic multiple beverage options or Chick Fil'a Lemonaide.

I welcome your picks to the topic.

my favorite for local buffalo wings would be Legends, they're the most authentic i've had in florence, though they are kind of small. but at a cost of only 5 dollars for about a pound its a descent deal. i live within walking distance of bonnies, and just a couple of miles from lashs and have never been there. i need to give these 2 a try for sure. i've always been skeptical of bonnies for some reason.

Since you out 101 way at Old Smokey Boys in Lexington hey have a potato loaded with Ribeye steak though i never got it
I love the foodland deli in sheffield

Bbq- Bunyans-Hands down. Best hot slow dogs in the south.

Lunchoen Plate- Meh, I suppose Garden Gate has some good plates. Not big on the meat and 3 sides deal.

Dinner- My favorite dinner spot is the cracker barrel. Yeah, its a meat and 3 sides deal. But, I love it. Must be the atmosphere.

Seafood- "Crocodile Ed's" Nothing beats their tilapia covered in aioloi with cheddar grits and green beans.

Burger- I love Ruby Tuesday's "Triple Prime Burger."

Beverages- Jacks has THE BEST milkshakes made from real bluebell ice cream. Absolutely delicious.
Can I just say that I love the user name "Boogieman"...every time I see your name, I start singing "I'm your Boogieman, that's what I am". LOL

My absolute favorite is Frank's Italian...great food, great ambiance, great service, priced right...love love.

I also am a fan of Trowbridge's. Seriously, does it get any better than a chicken salad sandwich and a banana split in a real glass banana boat? I think NOT!

I have been very impressed with Demos'...always order something different, tastes great every time & the service is excellent, best I've encountered in the Shoals area.

I haven't tried Fatboys yet, but it sure is getting rave reviews...will need to try them out soon. Smiler

Oh, almost forgot...for country cooking, nothing from the can, Nana's is the best. I haven't eaten there is a while...hope they are still in business.
Aw, man, I really hate to hear that, Mrs. Carl, but thanks for telling me.

It's very rare to find a restaurant that makes it from scratch, you know? I can't absolutely tell the difference & sure most Southerners can. I'm not a fan of anything out of the can, including soup...blech! It smells and tastes like dog-food to me...well, at least what I think dog-food might taste like. hee/hee

That's a shame. Now I feel guilty for not going lately. Frowner
