"306 BBQ and Back Alley Sports Bar" in the same block as Rosie's is in.  Should be open in several months as they renovate the building and will add high price apartments above the restaurant in the same building.    From the drawing looks like a pretty elaborate place.

I saw the diagram/image when I was downtown at First Fridays.  They had it outside the building and I don't know that there is a URL link to it anywhere.

It had 21 Tables and 6 booths in the front,  About 30 bar stools throughout the restaurant, 6 large tables and a few small bar tables, at least from what I saw on the drawing.  They are also going to have a kitchen and a smoker inside the building for their smoking cooking.   At least that's what I took from the diagram I saw.

Still looking for the farms where they raise those mutant chickens -- the ones with fingers.

You search in vain. They are probably the same farms where, we were told 20 or so years ago, KFC was raising featherless chickens.  Remember that nonsense?  Or maybe they were raised by the same folks who were reported to be raising worms to mix with ground beef for McDonald's. The dingbats who raised those rumors have now graduated to other fields of expertise, such as denying that the President's birth certificate is legitimate or that he graduated from law school.

Exit #3.

Next to Larry's Pistol & Pawn and Rocket City H - D.

No two better ways to work up an appetite.

But the question is does 306 BBQ know how to barbeque?

We have some Q stores around that are barely okay.  But what I'm looking for is a barbeque restaurant that serves really, really outstanding food.

After living 18 years in Memphis and eating Q about every other day, just about all the really great barbeque places are out of business.  Those that know how to cook Q don't know how to run a full service restaurant.

And I question anyone living in an apartment over the top of  barbeque restaurant with a cooker.  I just cannot see a top rate barbeque cooker smelling the whole downtown up with their smoke.

Flobama across the street from 306 is mediocre barbecue at best. Maybe we can eat good barbecue at 306 and walk across the street for entertainment?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I took some business visitors from Chicago to Flobama, Our visitors loved the BBQ ribs & BBQ plates, These folks were originally from Ohio, Chicago, Wisconson, Michigan. They claim there is NO GOOD BBQ in Chicagoland... When I visited Chicago, I didn't go to eat BBQ!! Lots of other very good food!!!

**Unclegus, I was like you, the BBQ was So-So to me too...maybe when 306 BBQ opens, I can really open up some Northern visitors eyes... Looking forward to trying them out and see how they compare to my own and other local BBQ in the area.. Get Well Soon...
