Old, old, old, tired, worn-out right-wing silliness is rampant on this string.

When someone posts something you don't like and have no credible rebuttal for, then just try to trivialize the subject. Gracie's Old Mutterer says, "It's all they can talk about. Weird, since Beck and Palin are so stupid and are hurting the cause so much. You'd think they would just sit back and laugh if that were the truth."

Well, what IS the truth is that these wingers do not realize just how deranged Beck really is and thus they allow him to tickle their ears and lead them around on a leash. The man has a large following of sheeple who really believe his twaddle. That makes for a lot of contamination of political dialogue; it cheapens informed discussion by creating and propagating so much DIS-information.

So, all I can say is see for yourself. Dig out some of his past books, go to the library and find those cited references, and read them for yourself. You are in for a great surprise! The man you laud as brave and honest, is actually a charlatan that you are making rich.
judging from his income at Wallbuilders, the gullible can make you exceedingly wealthy. I wish I were dishonest enough to take advantage of you as well."

i don't need to spend my money on a book written by some other schlub to find out thta glenn beck is nuts.

all i have to do is watch his show.

pretty much the same on the extreme end of either party.

my favorite line that proves the insanity of pelosi-

if we cna do that, and weed out the crazies on both sides, then either party would be a good choice again.

Yeehaa! The exact response one could expect from any "useful idiot". Wink From your secondhand response, I can surmise you didn't read the book, and I'm sure you laud the works of Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, and all the other lugubrious lefties. You are useful to them indeed.

What SCARES us about people like Palin and Beck is that there are so many Americans who are cutting off their noses to spite their faces. When they hear the REAL truth, they would still rather hold on to their misconceptions than admit that their "heros" have lied to them. Palin is an airhead, and Beck is manipulating all of you. But it appears you'd rather be led by an airhead and manipulated by a lying weasel than to accept the truth.

And why does that scare me? Because in a democracy, even angry, blind, manipulated people are allowed to vote.

I have Barton's "The Myth of Separation." I have had it for several years. His latest work is just a re-do of the first. I have studied "The Myth" thoroughly and have read several critiques of it, all of which have pointed out errors and manipulations by Barton. Barton is a poseur and a moneygrubber leeching off gullible folks who are looking to have their Christian Nationist ears tickled and who reject criticism of Barton simply by not paying attention to it, lest they become enlightened.

For those who are not among the sheeple described above, the link below is to a very thoughtful analysis of the
Christian Nationalist" movement. It refers to Barton and his historical take on the concept of separation of church and state.

Why in the world would someone say they were privy to classified information if it weren't true? I mean, it is easy enough to check on. So when called into question on it, she said she got her so-called "classified" info from a NON-PROFIT group!! So not only is she a liar, but she's a worse air-head than Palin.
