Former Labor Secretary Thomas E. Perez was elected chairman of the Democratic National Committee on Saturday, narrowly defeating Representative Keith Ellison of Minnesota to take the helm of a still-divided party stunned by President Trump’s victory but hopeful that it can ride the backlash against his presidency to revival.

Just the fact that a raghead was in the running, Keith Ellison, says a lot about
the direction the liberals want to take the country.

Amen.

Too bad he's going to be the chairman of an organization that is a big nothing.

The Republicans had 16 running for President, and maybe 10 could have done the job.  The dems had their choice of the Hildebeast, a very poor candidate, and an elderly socialist.

Where are all the sharp 40 somethings?  What have they been doing to develop future talent within the party?  Nothing, obviously.

I'd hate to think that Harold Ford Jr. of Memphis would be the best they've got.

The new chairman's got to train future leaders--hopefully those that will have the intentions to do what's right for their constituents and the country.

But look to more of the same--viscious infighting with the Republicans over every issue with no desire to negotiate or get along.
