Regionalcare, aka ECM, won another battle in the attempt to build a new $250M medical complex which will be situated on northern end of Singing River bridge. According to the experts, there is a now a 14 day window in which the other entities may appeal this decision, which would be the only stumbling block remaining in the process.  Hopefully the ground break can happen soon and we will be in the new facility within 2 years.

Hillary in 2016?  Why not?  We've already had one "girly man" serving in office for the past 7 years, we might as well give her chance as well!

Let me just say it's about time.  Throughout this whole process, I've just wondered:

How much money has been spent by an already unprofitable Helen Keller Hospital for legal fees?

Since Helen Keller Hospital's facilities have been "rented" to Huntsville Hospital, why is the lawsuit even applicable?  Does Helen Keller Hospital even still exist today as the current hospital entity?

And ultimately I question the politicians for not selling Helen Keller Hospital for $45 million and all debts paid in full to ECM's new owners.

How much more "red ink" has Helen Keller produced in these last few years?  $ millions for sure.

Bamaman, there is no need to question anything.  The board of directors of Helen Keller wasted money and time, sold out to the wrong entity for an amount and terms that can only be attributed to incompetence and spite, and slowed down the building of a badly needed regional hospital by five years.  If I were a Colbert resident, I'd be leading the lynch party.
