A U.S.-born Israeli author and Middle East expert says there's plenty of family history to refute President Obama's claim that that he is the "closest thing to a Jew" that has ever occupied the Oval Office.

David Rubin, the former mayor of the Israeli city of Shiloh, says that Obama's anti-Israel credentials came way before he was president.

Obama and Netanyahu 620x300"Obama had a Muslim father," who was idolized in his biography "Dreams of my Father," Rubio points out.

Obama was later raised as a Muslim in Indonesia, under the influence of a communist mother and a Muslim step-father.

As an adult, the now-President of the United States sat under radical pastor Jeremiah Wright and befriended Bill Ayers, the far-left domestic terrorist.

Wright, for example, said in a 2009 interview that he wasn't being allowed contact with his longtime friend and former church member. He blamed "them Jews" in the White House.

President Obama in 2011 stated publicly that Israel should return to its pre-1967 borders to enable the Palestinians to control more territory. Obama was the first president to ever suggest such a policy, the CNN story reported.

"He is not a friend of Israel," Rubin says of Obama. "And he is not a friend of the Jewish people, unless perhaps there are some Jewish people on the furthest left of the political spectrum and don't really care about Israel."

Obama advisor David Axelrod told an Israeli TV station recently that President Obama once made the "closest thing to a Jew" comment to him.
