If only someone could have somehow predicted this before BOcare was passed, smh.

They lured the weak minded in with promises of freebies all along having no idea how or who was going to pay for this monstrosity.  A new phrase was coined, "you have to pass it to see what's in it" which was promptly ignored by the brain dead citizens who were too busy celebrating from the promise of freebies.  We are a nation of blood sucking jack azzes.

Any time you let the government money into it it is going to get out of control People for the most part do not put any association with the government money and where it comes from.  They think it must magically grow on trees or appear out of nowhere.  When these companies saw they could get a good deal and get into bed with the government, they did it. The government and this administration laughed all the way to the bank, because this opens the door one inch closer to what they want, and that is a universal healthcare, which will devastate the healthcare workers in this country and set us back even further.

Health insurance rates could rise substantially in Alabama

Big rate increases could be coming for Alabamians who buy insurance on the federal exchange.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama is requesting an average increase of 28 percent for individual plans. Rates for its Blue Choice Platinum - Individual plan could go up by as much as almost 71 percent, according to a rate request available on the website of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Rate increases will affect 175,000 members, according to the filing.

Small group plans could increase at a lower rate of 13.8 percent, which will affect 225,000 members.

UnitedHealthcare is also seeking to increase its rates by about 24.5 percent next year. Rates changes could be as high as 56 percent for some members, depending on age and other factors. About 880 people will be affected by that rate change.

Both insurers cited the increase in medical costs as the reason for the rate increases. Spending on healthcare increased by more than 5 percent last year, fueled in part by increased drug costs, according to Modern Healthcare. Last year's spending spike followed years of slower growth in healthcare costs.

I know that the real reason for Obamadon'care is to buy votes from the stupid voters who think the federal goobermint's magic wand transcends the reality of the marketplace, but this is a great time to see who can come up with the best conspiracy theory.

The idiots were told it isn't about healthcare, it's only for control. Redistribution

and the call for an emergency to close every bank and strip 401k and other

savings. Hillary point blank said this in the early nineties.
