http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0Gwz-2qB7oBill states that that person who was guilty of vehicular homicide had no right to be here in america, I agree, thats what illegal means. Just watch the footage. You lefts will hate it!
I loved it, must mean I am a right wing whack job. O'Reilly had an interesting point, one of the innumerable Drink Driving Deaths in Virginia was caused by an Mexican Citizen. He claims the Mexican Citizen was in the country illegally. I would like to see the evidence of that particular Assertion.
If we deported every Drunk foreign Tourist found in the USA Las Vegas would be empty.
Foreign citizens licensed to drive in their home countries are permitted to drive in all states of the Union. Canadian Truck Drivers, with proper Canadian Commercial Licenses are not only allowed to drive, they are allowed to work, and fulfill contracts on US soil.
Recent changes in US law will require Mexican Citizens entering the country to obtain documentation that they crossed into the nation at a port of entry, but presently no such documents are issued. The vast majority of Foreign Citizens in the USA have no documentation beyond the passport or other document issued by their native country. Those with valid licenses from their nation of residence are permitted to drive in the United States.
The issue is what would be called a Straw Man in most college debates.
O'Reilly, calling the Mexican driver in the fatal accident Illegal, was almost certainly wrong about the driver's status. He may have been driving illegally, if he had no valid drivers license issued by Mexico. Unless he was driving for pay, he was not otherwise operating the vehicle illegally. He was Driving Drunk, Just as Rivera Said. His status in the country is NOT shown to be illegal because he was driving, or drunk. He was an illegal, only if he was regularly employed and did not have an H1b Visa, or other work visa. The fact that such documentation was not in his possession at the time of the accident means nothing. The document may have been on file at his place of employment. That is the most likely place to find those documents, since that the the only place they are required.
This public airing of ignorance has to end. O'Reilly is NOT godlike. He may have relied on a Virginia State Trooper's Assertion that the man was illegally in the country, but the evidence of the past history of the Mexican Driver says otherwise. He had been arrested before for drunkenness and had not been deported. This indicates he was a DRUNK, not that he was an illegal immigrant, and may in fact provide evidence that he was in the country LEGALLY.
Rivera Was Right. This incident is a case of Drunk Driving, not illegal immigration.
There is a reason INS officers raid workplaces. ANYWHERE ELSE A FOREIGN CITIZEN IS NOT IN VIOLATION OF THE LAW. Every hotel in Alabama would be in violation of the law if they were prohibited from providing housing to foreign citizens without visas. VISAS ARE NOT REQUIRED OF MOST FOREIGN PASSPORT HOLDERS. Mexicans are in that group.
