Rand Paul has tempered his anti-earmark rhetoric, before even getting to Washington.

quote:
In a bigger shift from his campaign pledge to end earmarks, he tells the Wall Street Journal that they are a bad "symbol" of easy spending but that he will fight for Kentucky's share of earmarks and federal pork, as long as it's doled out transparently at the committee level and not parachuted in in the dead of night. "I will advocate for Kentucky's interests," he says.

Rand Paul grew up in a political family. The tea partiers will see a lot of his position soften when he actually has to govern. If they weren't so obnoxious for the most part, you could pity the way they were manipulated by Dick Armey and Glenn Beck, but then I see them actually speak at their rallies and what they write on forums and can't feel anything but disgust for the way they have emboldened the republican party who will end up treating them like redheaded stepchildren before it is all over and making them like it through their propoganda machine :Fox and friends. Is that soft of like a trifecta?

I don't know how "soft" but it is sort of like a trifecta, thanks for the spelling correction Eeker

Ronnie P., if you are going to be devious you need to be both quick and smart. You failed miserably on both counts. I captured your original post in my reply before your rewrite! Cool
