Phoebe went to heaven this morning.  I'm an empty nester now.  My husband and I are trying to heal. We have faith we will see her in heaven.  Thank you for all your prayers and kind words.

consider this warning Paul gave: "See then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off" (Rom. 11:22)

Maybe another furbaby to help you?

I never will understand why someone will turn someones loss into their own agenda and pushing it at that.

I have no agenda, just feeling bad for the loss of her furbaby. You have a problem with my opinion, bring it to me in a PM. Don't start anything in this topic out of respect for my friend HOD.

What did you do SEMI? I must have missed a thing. Do I need to scold you?

In What mischief are you involved?

Pets in Heaven?

On the EWTN (a Catholic TV Network) web page is this discussion of the question whether animals are in heaven:

Excerpt:

Pets in Heaven?

A question that comes up frequently is whether people will see their pets in heaven. Now the Catechism of the Catholic Church does not directly address this question. But it does hold principles which lead us in the direction of an answer.

One principle is that all living things have a soul. Here soul is defined as what makes an organic body live. Now when any living thing dies, its soul is separated from its body. In the case of plants and animals the soul goes out of existence.

Another Catholic source offers a contrasting view.  From some Catholic writer with a condition known as "O.F.M."   I can't tell you what that particular kind of Catholic alphabet soup signifies; the plethora of orders and so-called "vocations" in the RCC is not something I feel compelled to be conversant with.

So take your pick; believe what you wanna believe.

I sit here with my "sassy" and cannot fathom your grief. The bible says the animals belong to God and it also references animals in Paradise. May our Lord comfort you with the Holy Spirit. I'm sure you all will be reunited according to God's Will and love.Originally Posted by House of David:

Okay, here is the encyclical.  Kindly show me where it says anything about animals dying and going to heaven. I find nothing in it that says anything about animals as "a part of the kingdom of heaven." If it is anywhere in there, then show me where.  I believe you are putting words in the mouth (or under the pen) of the late Papa John 2.  Hint: You will not find it by using a keyword search for either "animals" or "kingdom of heaven."

Your turn.

All Catholic animals go to Heaven, as well as Catholic cars.

That's wonderful!!! I said after my furbaby died that I would never open myself up to that again. But I ate those words. Saw this furbaby & knew I needed her as much as she needed us, that was 2 years ago.

Can't wait to see a picture.

Don't get the Puppy Pads at Wal-mart to house train her. We get the bed pads for humans at Sam's. They're much thicker & only $25.00 for 125 pads.

I agree about the price, but I've read the puppy pads have a special scent that attracts the little ones. I haven't had a puppy in years either, so I have no personal knowledge of whether this is true or not, but I would research it if I had a new little one.
