Well,... looks like no more Pizza Hut for me. The store on Cox Creek in Florence Alabama continues to disappoint. I have tried to give them enough time to get things right in the store but they just can't seem to get the proper management in house along with employees that actually give a crap about what they are doing. At one time they had no manager in place and were just overseen by a district manager. Don't know if that has changed or not and personally, I don't care. Ordering online was a convenience anyway and one that I can gladly do without. They offer bonus points for orders and I had stacked up 736 points towards free pizzas, etc and they can just put those points where the sun doesn't shine. 736 points actually says I order a lot,... no more.

You cannot continue to offer bad service and bad phone etiquette and expect to get good ratings. On a scale of 1-5, if I could give them a minus 5 I certainly would. After being an hour late with my order I called to ask about it.  I don't take kindly to rudeness.

Over the past few months I looked over the tardiness of every time I ordered from the Cox Creek store. I know people and places have bad days. Heck, I do,... but not every time I order. Today, I just had enough with the bad service for mediocre food.

so  Obi wan,,,, what do you do for a living?  what do you get paid?   places like Pizza Hut can't charge what is needed to hire someone other than bottom of the barrel employees.   Then these low paid employees have to smile to rude customers who think they are the only ones that matter.

However your personal opinion is important,, thanks for letting us know you are important.   I can't wait to here of the next business that doesn't realize your important.

Ahhh, a Dem. That explains that feeling of entitlement to use someone elses' resourses without paying them. Maybe they should send him a bill.

Yep a dem, not that there's anything wrong with that, just
remember from years back........

Forget it, I'm sure the bullies keep people off of here. They must like it that way because you can't have an intelligent, friendly discussion without them insulting people. No one else is allowed to have an opinion if it doesn't match theirs.

Obi, I don't live in Florence so I don't know what's available but are there other pizza places that deliver? You must really like pizza, I do too but am so far out of town that I just make my own.

They don't deliver as far as I know but have you ever eaten at Nana's in Loretto, TN. They have one of those wood fired ovens. I love their pizza. They also have a beer on tap called Old Shed from Tullahoma that is so good.

The Pie Factory, in Florence and Muscle Shoals , has great pizza. A little more pricey than Pizza Hut, but wood fired and several drafts on tap. Pie Factory is wonderful and would be a worthy substitute. I have no clue about delivery.

With regards to the local Pizza Hut locations, I've had the best luck, with Pizza Hut orders, from the Killen location as far as accuracy, the speed of service and taste.  I also like Marco's Pizza but, as Rabbit said above, I think that the best pizzas locally come from either the downtown or Muscle Shoals location of the "Pie Factory".

As for other places I've lived, say, McDonough, Georgia (South Atlanta area) I got spoiled on Pizza from either "I Love NY Pizza" in Locust Grove, GA or even better was "Fellini's Pizza" which was Downtown near Bankhead area on Peachtree Rd.  If you love the thin NY style Pizza and travel to Atlanta be sure to try Fellini's pizza if you can.

If traveling to Panama City Beach area in Panama City there is a great NY Pizza style restaurant that serves up an 18" pie for a decent price and it has a great taste to it and it's called "New York's Famous Pizza & Pasta" at 1000 E 23rd St in Panama City.  Lastly, one of the most unique pizzas I've had the pleasure to try is from a place in Ft Wayne, Indiana and it's a Chicago style pizza that's actually priced by the pound and it's LOADED with Cheese.  The place is called "Oley's Pizza"..

Oley's PIzza (photo above)

As for this area, I really enjoyed Pizza Marina when they were on River Road.  Too bad the owner of the building they were in got too greedy when he saw how popular they had gotten and raised the rent (or I think that's what happened) because when they moved out to Killen and changed some of their employees/cooks they just didn't do as good.  They did make a great tasting pie though.  I'll also include "Stoner's Pizza" as a good tasting pie but location hurt them, I believe.  They were in that very small, hole in the wall building, across from the WalMart Grocery store and adjacent to Witten's service station.  I don't know why they closed but it I heard from someone that one of the owners of one of the pizza businesses in that location actually passed away causing the closure of that store but I don't know if it was Stoner's Pizza's owner or the one that followed it.  Today I think that Primo's Pizza occupies the store location but I haven't tried their pie or talked to anyone that has ordered from them.

As for Dominos I also like their pizzas, at times, but their Hot Sandwiches are also very good and when I order from Dominos I usually end up passing up the pizza for the Sandwiches.
