This same line was used for Bush. People did pray for his death. Even put it on bumper stickers.
How's that Christian attitude for you bitter?

More "So's yer old man" rejoinder from you. Typical and predictable. One difference here though: ferrellj often admonishes me to behave in a Christian manner. Now she comes on here urging one and all to pray for the death of the President. The obvious commodity displayed in that is H Y P O C R I S Y, something she has accused me of. Who's the hypocrite now?

quote:Would it be permissible to pray for Obama to grow a brain and testicles? But wouldn't that mean that he would have to join Parker Griffith and leave the party of the donkey?

And why are you reluctant to post the entirety of that verse from Psalm 109? It is a wish for the President to die, isn't it? For the information of readers here, I am providing the text of that verse below:
Psalm 109:9:
"Let his chidren be fatherless and his wife a widow."

Preach it brother! This is what the bible teaches and is what we shall abide by. Thank you for helping spread the good news that our president shall be replaced very soon. The Lord has commanded it!

Well excuse me for pointing out the obvious, hypocrite.
Its OK to pray for Bush's death, but not Obama's. So, old man, you criticize someone for doing the same thing you do. How predictable.

Throw out the bait, set the hook, and reel them in. You fell for it bitter. Obviously to everyone but you it was a joke. I would never pray for anyones death, even Obama's. I do pray for our country. I've never questioned your or anyones Christianity, that is between you and God. I do believe the Bible says something to the fact that you will know a person by the fruits they bear. I along with a lot of other posters on here have questioned if your fruits resemble what we would expect from a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
All that work (baiting and reeling in) and I have to throw it back, it was only a sucker.
The only thing I'm guily of is using the religion forum for a joke, I will apologize for that. But, Christians can have fun too.

So, while I, like many Americans, are disgusted with and embarrassed by Emperor Obama -- we should still be praying for him. For, regardless -- we are stuck with him for another three years.

Hi all,
Should we be praying for Obama? Yes! Absolutely! It is not him we pray for; but our nation, the office of the president. I recall reading of the conflict between President Truman and General MacArthur in the 1950s. Truman was president; but, MacArthur saw himself as the Emperor. MacArthur was constantly doing things to embarrass the White House -- holding his own foreign affairs press conferences, publicly snubbing the president, etc.
Harry Truman told Emperor MacArthur, in no uncertain terms, "You may not respect me; but, you damm well WILL respect the office of President of the United States!" So, after a while and further ignoring of protocol by the Emperor, Truman fired him. Truman was one Democrat I still respect.
So, while I, like many Americans, are disgusted with and embarrassed by Emperor Obama -- we should still be praying for him. For, regardless -- we are stuck with him for another three years.
Another way to view Obama -- imagine if illness or anything else caused him to leave office; you do realize that the line of succession is (1) Biden - yuk!, (2) San Fran Nan Pelosi - double yuk!
As you can see, regardless of how many third world leaders Obama kisses, bows to, and apologizes to for being an American -- he is still better than these two alternatives.
Yes, pray for him -- but, pray harder for America.
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill

Hi Crusty,
Just when I had begun to worry that six strong men had come for you -- you pop up again. I am happy to see you alive and well.
I guess that lure of the name -- Bill Gray -- is just too much for you to resist. Happy to have you back.
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill

Just think, if every Christian every day faithfully prayed for our President.
I mean true Godly prayers, that our President would hear the voice of God, that he would
listen to true Godly advise, that he would not be afraid and follow Gods ways. True prayers that are in alignment with Gods word. What do you think would happen?

Exactly the same thing as if no prayers were said. Really.

Just because I don't share your distorted view, doesn't mean any of those things, Bill.
Hi Crusty,
So, what do you believe about God, the Bible, and prayer?
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill
