He said himself that he was going to make some people mad. He said he may only get one term because a lot of what needed to be done would be very unpopular. But it does need to be done.

And already, some of it is starting to pay off. The auto companies are FINALLY turning a profit after six years of losing money. GM and Chrysler are starting to pay back the taxpayer dollars that were used to bail them out.

Even the oil spill has turned out not to be as bad as everyone predicted when it first happened and all of you anti-Obama people were blaming him.

And I believe when 2014 comes and people who have lost their health insurance through no fault of their own can finally get the healthcare they need, even more people will realize this "community organizer" really DOES have his act together.

If it wasn't for the fact that Obummer is spending trillions of dollars we don't have this entire post would be funny.

B50, after seeing several of her interviews, I don't see how anyone could have any respect for her at all. She truly thought that Alaska's proximity to Russia made her an expert on foreign policy. She couldn't think on her feet quickly enough to name even ONE magazine. Even during the debate, there were questions that she flat out refused to answer because she hadn't been coached on them. And that reveals the truth - after the interviews, she was not ALLOWED to speak about anything she hadn't been coached on because even her "handlers" knew that she would come off looking, well, shall we say, "uninformed".

It is not her politics I object to, although I DID vote for Obama. BUT!!! I would have voted for ANYONE else who didn't have Palin on their ticket. I'm sorry, but she just isn't very bright.

And what foreign policy experience did Obummer have? Have you seen the O talk without his teleprompter?

Obama has spoken in many forums and to may audiences WITHOUT A TELEPROMPTER. His alleged inability to function without a teleprompter is simply a silly fiction that the right wing stupidly propagates out of desperation to find fault. Anyone who thinks Obama can't do without a teleprompter simply has not been paying attention. In his televised meetiong with some key Republicans several months ago, he had no teleprompter and he simply blew the opposition away. Live with it; the man is articulate. If you want an example of a person clumsy with words, go back just one president.

I would rather have a "Mel Tillis" for a speaker if he or she could get the job done. Obummer ain't gittin er done.

Not dealing with "fancy words" here. The issue you raised was the alleged incompetence of the President of the United States and the Commander-in-Chief of her armed forces to communicate effectively without a teleprompter. I showed you that your point was pointless, which inspired you to change the subject, having been rendered indefensible on the topic at issue. Typical tactic of those who can not participate in debate without forfeiting integrity.

It will be years before the taxpayers get their money back.

If Obama hadn't turned down the Dutch high speed skimmers, no oil would have touched our shores. Using US Army naval assets and US maritime ships, the skimmers could have been here in 10 days.

You showed me nothing. The issue is not communication but leadership. He has made quite a few gaffes without his teleprompter. You are the one deflecting the point. How is his masterful speaking abilities helping with the economy, rising taxes, unemployment, out of control spending, unwanted social programs, the border problems, and an out of touch federal government?

Beter, you are almost as eloquent as our president. If I had ever met you I would say I'm proud to know you. As it is, I'll just say it feels good to have such a well-spoken, intelligent man at my back. Thanks!

For once I can agree with you, better is almost equal to our president in my eyes too. Wink
