Protocol

I've got a question. I'm not criticizing or complaining, just asking. Trump got off the helicopter, immediately saluted a serviceman and took his wifes left hand in his right hand and proceeded to somewhere. Would it not have been better for him to hold her right hand in his left so that his right would be able to salute if needed? Again, I'm not criticizing. Is there some protocol that dictates this?

you gotta salute with your right hand.

I don't have to salute with either hand anymore and the President isn't required to return salutes.

If he wants to salute he can let go of her hand and salute. Problem solved. When some didn't salute Bill Clinton, then later on they didn't salute Obama and some even turned their backs to him, some of the lefties wanted them disiplined. But as Uandurine posted, they don't have to salute him, or face him.

Members of the US Armed Forces, in uniform, recognizing the POTUS and given the situation and no special circumstances [such as no salute zone] are required to salute.  That is their boss, the CIC.   The POTUS is not required to return to the salute but it is considered courtesy for him to do so = boarding and exiting MARINE 1 for example.  A subordinate salutes first, and hold's his salute till the superior has returned his.

Uandurine is most likely, like me, a PFC no longer required to salute the uniform.  We do so, if we do so, out of respect.

Those who turn their backs on the POTUS are not active duty, in uniform members of the US Armed Forces.  And won't be for long if they are.  Civilian paramilitary agencies are a different matter.  I think that's who Gifted is referring to unless she has evidence of the US Armed Forces to the contrary.

The point is barry never had respect for anything American and
never had the decency to even fake it in fear his muslin leaders
might hear of it.

How many times do those people need to be told they are too
stupid to vote, how many, but I really don't want to know....
