James O'Keefe, the ACORN-baiting phony pimp, told an audience to watch for something he was going to do in New Orleans before he and his two young right-wing associates trespassed into Senator Landrieu's office on false pretexts.

"Four days before James O'Keefe was charged in a plot to tamper with the office phones of Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu, the conservative activist promised his audience at a luncheon they would be hearing about a project he was working on in New Orleans."

His in-advance statement might go against the little weasel in court. Can you say "premeditated"? Can you say "conspiracy"?

Oh? Was he trying to show corruption in the office of Senator Mary Landrieu? If so, then why don't you tell us about it? What corruption?

Or do you simply assume that wherever this 25-year old shows up, there is corruption there? Is that sufficient for you?

No, I think the converse is more true, wherever there is a leftie or a Dimocrat there is corruption...and yes, I realize that leftie and Dimocrat create a redundancy...
This looks like a bit of guerrilla theater gone wrong. Apparently, they were supposed to film a skit showing that the phones were working despite callers getting sent to voice mail when they tried to phone Landrieu. No phone tap gear found.

I suspect the feds will have trouble determining what felony he and his friends were going to commit, except for tresspassing.

Maybe and maybe not.

"Once inside Senator Landrieu’s reception area, FLANAGAN and BASEL told a member of Senator Landrieu’s staff that they were telephone repairmen, and they requested access to the main telephone at the reception desk. FLANAGAN and BASEL then manipulated the telephone system. FLANAGAN and BASEL next requested access to the telephone closet because they needed to perform work on the main telephone system."

From FBI affidavit at http://neworleans.fbi.gov/dojp...ssrel10/no012610.htm

Consider also:

"A law enforcement source tells The Mouth that Dai was apprehended outside the federal building in his car with a “receiver device” of some sort, possibly used to monitor either his alleged cohorts visit to Landrieu’s office or to secretly record her office’s calls."

and

"Authorities said two of the defendants posed as telephone repairmen in hard hats, fluorescent vests and tool belts and asked to see the phones at Landrieu's office; one of them had a tiny camera in his helmet. A third man is alleged to have waited outside in a car with a listening device to pick up transmissions. The fourth, James O'Keefe, used his cell phone to capture video of the scene inside, authorities said."

Time will tell. What is already certain is that this was a clumsy and stupid action by amateurish bozos.

The listening device was to provide sound to the videos they took. Again, no tap gear found.

When calls were made to Landrieu's office, they were immediately sent to a full voice mail recording. I suspect this was a stunt gone wrong to lampoon the senator.

Again: Time will tell.

I would NOT want to be in their shoes.

Well duh! Who would want to be in their shoes today? Let's all look at their shoes when this all shakes out.
