Please tell me exactly how "every stone thrown at you" is another jewel/reward in heaven". How is provoking anger in others rewarding? How many jewels do you lose when you are unkind, sarcastic or belittling? Just curious as to what formula you use to calculate your jewels- earned versus jewels lost.

How does being an atheist or agnostic automatically translate into worshipping Satan? I do believe in God, and that Jesus died for all the sins of mankind, but the absence of belief in God dictates the absence of belief in Satan, according to definition.

From Wikipedia (sorry for the cut & paste)

Agnosticism is the view that the existence or non-existence of any deity is unknown and possibly unknowable. More specifically, agnosticism is the view that the truth values of certain claims—especially claims about the existence or non-existence of any deity, as well as other religious and metaphysical claims—are unknown and (so far as can be judged) unknowable.[

Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.[1][2] In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities.[3][4][5] Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist.

As we all know, Satan is called the "great deceiver" for a reason.  And, that is a great example of his deceit.   So, Chick feels more comfortable with the atheists.  No surprise.  God does put some guidelines around us; we call them moral codes, or Positive Moral Values.

Atheism, secularism, humanism, world religions, i.e., Satan's domain -- places no restrictions on anyone, i..e., Relative Moral Values, Relativism -- if if feels right to you -- it is right!   WRONG!  That is the world's moral codes -- and that is a formula for disaster.

______________
Even though you meant that as an insult it is not. Most atheist I know do live there lives doing what feels right to them. What feels right is being a good human being and doing your best to help others.
As an atheist I live by many moral codes. I do my best to not harm others, in anyway. I try to stand up for those that are weaker than me. I give to those in need. I am in a committed relationship that I have worked very hard at maintaining for 20 years. I take care of my parents who are aging. I raised 3 wonderful children that are now responsible and good adults. I have many atheist friends who live very similar lives. We are not the exception to atheism we are the majority.
Also, as a Humanist I dedicate much of my time working with my fellow Humanist serving the community. Fighting for equal rights and justice for all humans.
We do this not for a reward in some afterlife. We do these things because it helps our fellow human beings. We do it because we want to live in a civil and happy society. We do it without the belief in the supernatural.
Semi is my friend. I don't care if she believes in a god or not. She is still my friend. I don't try and convince her to change her mind on such matters. She is an intelligent and caring person. She doesn't need you or me to tell her what is right for her. Being a friend to someone is accepting them as they are. I wonder how many real "friends" you have Bill. Since you over use the word here on the forums I suspect you really don't understand the true meaning of it.
Being a good person has nothing to do with the deity you worship. Most of the time I don't know what a persons religious beliefs (if any) are and I judge them by their actions. Your actions on this forum lead me to believe you are a man without morals. Should that be a reflection of ALL Christians? Not in my eyes. I know many good Christian people. You are just not one of them. It does not anger me that you talk about your god in the religious forum, matter of fact you don't anger me at all. You serve a purpose for me. You demonstrate with your words and thoughts how not to be. You help those like me who see fundamentalism as dangerous and counter productive to society prove we are right. Keep up the good work Bill. We atheist need men like you to speak up and let your thoughts and feelings be heard. How else will we teach the world that fundamentalist religions are not healthy or sound for a good society.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to use you once again.

Semi dear, thanks for your observations. at the present I’ll respond to one question and possibly get to some of the others between my house cleaning. I received threats this morning before she left for work.

BILL, BEST, &DIRE lie about Obama’s intentions, morals, family for a few.  Like I said there are others.

I really don’t count lies about religion because the answers to it are dynamic in nature or in some superposition between the truth and a lie.

Being dynamic in nature means the answer is always moving in definition.

Being in a superposition, there are proofs and arguments the answers are all correct and incorrect at the same time and there are an infinity of them.

The sins? I would pick some that are lawful in nature first of all. I would say throw caution to the wind start with some boozing, hang out in bars and get into some designer forms of adultery. If you are married you will have to slip around of course. Once you are like Rover you may wish you had done it. Actually I’ve been praying on your behalf that you would not find God and miss out on anything. It seems to be working.

From reading the post of vplee, Crusty, & Jank, I can only imagine what ole Billy boy said to provoke those responses.

One thing you have to say for the ole man & that's that he is darn good at what he does. No doubt why Satan chose him.

It has to make the "real" Christians sad & angry at the same time to see the damage ole Billy does to Christianity. As for the Atheist, probably just reminds them how thankful they are to be Atheist. Bill can sure make a person want to run the other way.

Billy is stubborn, he's right, everyone else is wrong, there will be no changing his mind, so why even try? If everyone on this forum blocked him, (with the exception of 2-3) we just might have some decent conversation.

Hi all,

My Friend, Chick, loves to pretend.   She tells us, "I have Bill blocked, I never read his posts!"  Yet, it is amazing how she always seems to discover what I have written -- through others?  Okay!  Whatever you say!

She tells us, "From reading the post of vplee, Crusty, & Jank, I can only imagine what ole Billy boy said to provoke those responses."

Okay!  Whatever you say!  Of course, we believe you!   Really, we do.  Duh!

Old William Shakespeare had it pretty well nailed, when he wrote, in Hamlet, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."  Do you think Chick has him blocked, also?

Have you ever noticed that it is the "dog that was bitten, that barks the loudest."    Years ago, our dog died of old age and we took a trip to the Orange County Animal Shelter.  As we walked through the shelter, all the dogs would come up to the front of their cage, trying to be friendly.  It was as if they were pleading, "Please, take me home with you."

All except for one dog, a small Shih Tzu about six months old.  At the time, we, and the people of the Animal Shelter thought she was a Pekinese -- and that is probably why the owner never found her.   This ferocious little Shih Tzu sat in the middle of her cage, facing the side wall, and as she peeked over her right shoulder -- she growled at us.

Driving home, I told Dory, "That was just a defense mechanism. She was afraid -- and instead of approaching us -- she growled."   After a moment, I said, "Let's go back tomorrow and get her.  And, because she acts so ferocious, we will name her Nasty."

The next day, we went to the Animal Shelter, filled out the paper work, and was told we had to wait seven days.  When the adoption day came, I was out of town on a business trip -- so, Dory went alone to get our newly adopted family member.

When Dory and the Animal Shelter lady went to her cage, Nasty was still growling.  The lady asked Dory, "Are you sure you want this one?"  And, Dory assured her we did indeed want her.

As soon as Dory put the leash on Nasty, she happily trotted beside Dory to our car and jumped in like she had always lived there.  Dory took her home, bathed her, and when I came home we had a new, lovely family member.  Nasty was the most loving pet -- and loved children.  And, of course, the children at church loved Nasty.

Do you suppose that my dear Friend, Chick, could be the human version of Nasty -- growling, spitting, and fuming -- calling me and other Christians names -- denigrating us and all our posts which tell her that she must personally choose to follow God, or personally choose to spend eternity in hell?

She is always spitting and fuming, declaring, "Bill Gray is sending me to hell!"   No, my Friend, NO ONE, except you -- can send you to hell.  Even God cannot send you to hell.  YOU must make that choice on your own -- and no one can make it for you.

And, telling her that makes her very uncomfortable.  Thus, like our Nasty, she peeks over her shoulder, trying to pretend she does not see us -- and growls.

But, even with that -- God still loves Chick.  And, God wants Chick to have eternal life in Christ.  Everything has been done to make that happen -- except Chick opening the door of her heart and inviting Him to come in and be her Best Friend (Rev 3:20).  God is still waiting, patiently, for He wants her to have life (2 Peter 3:9).  But, Chick MUST be the one to open that heart door.   I pray that she will before her last breath; for, after that breath, it will be too late.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi Jan,

When most folks define good and evil, they do so with Biblical reference or influence.  But, for an atheist who will not admit that God exists -- they have nothing on which to stand their definition of good and evil -- except what a corrupt society tells them is good and evil.

I believe I will go for the Biblical definition:

Isaiah 5:20, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"

What is good?  Light.  What is evil?  Darkness.

What is good?  Sweet.  What is evil?  Bitter.

So, atheists prefer to walk in spiritual darkness, with all the bitterness associated -- because they are afraid to admit to themselves that God does indeed exist.  Why?  Because when they admit He does exist -- they now, to one degree or another, are accountable to Him as their Creator.   So, they cover their heads and walk in spiritual darkness -- trying to avoid God; a fruitless endeavor!

On the other hand, I prefer to walk in His Light, to taste His Sweetness -- which I KNOW is Good sent from Him.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Bill serves a purpose. Without examples of bad we would never know good.

______

I've taken breaks but still have him blocked. It makes me sick to see him belittle people the way he does & try to fool them by calling himself a Christian. But this religion forum is his & that's why he spews his hate here. He has said many times that we give him his platform & he's right.

I won't mention any of you blocking him again but it would be nice to have a discussion w/o his interfering.

Hopefully, there's more people that see's/hears his example of bad than those that don't.

There are.

BeeG is the Fred Phelps of the TVT Religion forum.

He just keeps winnin' them hearts and minds.

Me personally-I just like the fact that he's a self-resetting target.
