So, if someone "thinks" you are breaking a law; that gives them the right to pull you over? This works in theory by an old, worn out standard called "probable cause". I'm sure this farce has been debated on the forum before, but when do WE stand and say enough is enough! You guys and gals know the issue, so I'll move forward. Remember the "seatbelt law"?..I do. I wear my seatbelt because I want to be safe, NOT because it's the LAW!!
My issue is, the more laws WE (our reps) make, make criminals out people whom are not criminals. Our Elective and Legislative branches find this a quick fix to subdue certain practices or behaviors; but when these start to infringe on our personal property; things I paid for, is, a violation of MY RIGHTS (which I could list many) as an 8th generation Florencian or(Florentine).
I know that people have car accidents caused by many different things, whether it be drinking, falling asleep, freebasing', stupidity, putting on makeup, cell phones, I Pods, coughing, sneezing, the dreaded "there's a wasp in the car", and so on. Really?? where does it end.
In conclusion, we should just ban people from driving cars.............That should do the trick.
I wish I could use "probable cause" to justify my actions, but that would get me arrested!
"An ounce of awareness is worth a pound of "Aw Hell".
and..
When the elected officials pay for my car, pay my insurance, and totally do away with my taxes, pay for me NOT to work to earn MY money. Then, who cares, nobody will do a **** thing, and there will be no need for stupid **** laws.
