Yes, I am very spiritual, but not in a religious sense.  I do attend a church, but it is one that is more practical than religious..at least the one I attend is...and everyone is welcome with no set belief system required.

The only reason I would say I am atheist is the lack of belief in any gods, but I know there is more to the universe than is seen usually and I would say I am on another end of a spectrum from what some atheists would be who might not believe in things I have experienced or that I do, and that is fine with me.  I am just myself and haven't ever really fit into any molds in my life..lol.

Then when I gave a more detailed view of MY PERSONAL BELIEFS, I got ; You are denying God and Jesus, by saying you are not a Christian, you will be go to hell. You are a Christian in denial.

Then semi came up with:

In my opinion, that's just as bad as someone that doesn't believe at all.

Which she has now clarified.

Then Dark says that jimi mixing atheism with reincarnation makes more sense. Riiight.

So, I will believe how I want to and all of you can psychoanalyze all you want to.

I would say that the lines of theism and atheism just got erased.

b, have you ever noticed that when things get serious, you will start joking with O No?  Is it in hopes you will deter people away from the conversation?

You have mentioned several times on this forum that you weren’t a Christian.

Why do you imply that because I said you weren’t a Christian, then you have to instantly “agree” with me? You yourself said you were not a Christian. You even explained why you don’t call yourself a Christian on this forum. Why lay it at my door?

You just recently told Bill that you believed Jesus is the Son of God & your Savior. BUT you have said several times on this forum that you’re not a Christian.

This all came about when I said I wasn’t a Christian, & I asked if you were. You answered that you had “already covered that five or six times”. You said you were not a Christian “of any flavor”.

When you said you follow the 4 gospels, the Ten commandments, & the Golden rule, I gave my opinion that I believed to be a Christian, God would expect a person to follow the entire Bible, not just parts of it.

So you instantly, again, agree you weren’t a Christian.

If I were a Christian, I would hate to think that my Christianity was based on someone else’s opinion.

I did not tell you that you were going to Hell. I gave you scripture from the Bible, “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven”.

If we are denied before God, we certainly won’t go to Heaven, so where else is there to go? Only one place that I know of, (if it all exist). If it makes you feel better to lay it at my door, feel free.

I explained to frog, as I’m sure you saw but chose to ignore, was bad wasn’t the correct word to use. I still believe that picking parts of the Bible to believe in is not any different than my having doubts or dis-beliefs about the Bible. It would seem to me that God meant the Bible as a whole to live by, not just pick & chose as you wish. If I’m wrong, I would love to be shown where it says otherwise.

My opinion, b, mine!

BTW, I have no desire to psychoanalyze you. I thought this forum was a place of discussion. When I see something that sparks my interest, I will question it.

I find that very interesting.

Yes, I guess I did choose kind of odd words to explain.  Instead of saying you must believe in Christ or no god or a particular flavor of anything in between it is more a matter of social justice, equality, compassion, acceptance of one another, justice, realizing we are part of the web of existence and caring for the environment, respect for each other and the worth of all life, encouragement for spiritual growth, and the freedom to search for truth and meaning.  I guess it seems more practical for daily life to me personally than traditional religion is why I thought of the word.

There are people of various beliefs and all are welcome.

Semi:

b, have you ever noticed

 1. b, have you ever noticed that when things get serious, you will start joking with O No?  Is it in hopes you will deter people away from the conversation?  Ono and I like to talk to each other, on here and in pm's, is that a problem for you? She came to my defense , so I acknowledged it.

2. You were not the only one who said I was not classified as a Christian. Did I say your name?

3. You have accused Bill of telling people they are going to Hell and he was using scripture as well, so is that him or the Bible? i never disagreed with what you posted either did i? I laid nothing 'at your feet', you assumed.

4. You just recently told Bill that you believed Jesus is the Son of God & your Savior--What did you think believing in the Ten Commandments  and the Four Gospels mean?

4.'''' I explained to frog, as I’m sure you saw but chose to ignore''''I  Did not ignore it, I said:

Which she has now clarified.

5. I thought this forum was a place of discussion. When I see something that sparks my interest, I will question it.  It is .Which is my I asked you why you said God killed your child.

I never said I denied God, I said on here I am not considered a Christian since I don't  seem to fit the model that has been created. I still don't. So if you want to pick apart my beliefs, that's fine. You can judge whether I'm am a Christian or not. You can use scripture to back it up. Knock yourself out. But as you said to me earlier, if you don't want your beliefs questioned, don't put them out there.

 My opinion, semi.

True, there are world religions which insist upon a belief in reincarnation -- and there are others, such as atheism, etc., which leave this belief as an option.

However, the Bible teaches absolutely that reincarnation is false and is of the occult religions.  Given that, I will stay with the Bible in my belief that we all die once -- and then we face the judgments (Hebrews 9:27) -- either the Believer's Judgment (Bema Seat Judgment) or the Great White Throne Judgment for all non-believers, regardless of their religion.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bema, Schema--Good Grief, Bill, can't you post on anything without bringing up the convoluted notions of dispensationalist premillennial nonsense?
