Religion Forum - Please!

I agree that a religion forum is needed badly.
The Miscellaneous section is being overtaken with it.

but what ya wanna bet there would STILL be threads posted in the other forums,those that start all these threads like attention and they will post them where there is the most traffic.

True, smurph, but the mods could move them to the Religion Forum when that happens. I have seen that happen for food related topics started elsewhere. The mods move it to the food section. But you are right. There are some who may try to slip one in News or Misc.

well it could not be called "religous",or anything similiar, otherwise the athiests would be "offended" and continue to post their threads other places. maybe just call it a spiritual forum. But I agree with ya, there definately needs to be a seperate forums for these threads.

The forum members would enjoy it so much more,,and people who read and never post would as well. I hope it happens soon.

maybe not you,but there is one that would find great pleasure to explain how since they did not believe in relious matters could not possibly post their non-believing "proof" in a religous forum (or stated something simliar).
But geez,I do love to read his/her posts anyway!

This has been brought up so many times before with no results. Maybe if it was called "Opinions on Belief", no one would find offense.

Please please please put all the religious debates in one section. There are forums that many of us like to frequent filled with religious debates. There are so many of them that they could easily fill up their own section. Heck, if you just moved the current threads on religion there, you're set.

Then those that love to debate religion could go there at leisure & those of us that would rather avoid these discussions could simply stay out of that section.

Yes, we need a religious forum!

Perhaps the TD could place a little info on the registration page about where topics should go and how to research previous topics. Newbies seem to start several topics in food on previously critiqued restaurants (we have about 6 on Staggs) and place who-knows-what under Feedback to the TD.

Please do this. It gets old trying to find a conversation instead of an argument.

I would suggest calling it the Faith & Family Forum or just the Faith Forum.

And, do you think that you can put a hidden button that will cause a shock in the bottom section every time an atheist tries to jump into the Faith Forum?

Can't you just see it now. Every time Fish, Deep, et al, attempt to post in the Faith Forum -- they get a 50 volt shock in the posterior.

Oh well, I know that technology is not there yet; but, we can dream can't we?

Maybe you should talk to the almighty one and see what he can do. I mean he DID create the entire universe, certainly he can send a few volts of electricity to some lowly atheist.

Joy, of course I was joking. I have been in the computer industry for fifty years -- and I don't know of anyone working on a "remote hot seat" button. At least not yet -- unless it is the Atheists.

Without Fish and Deep, who will feed me the jokes so that I can play the straight man. Just consider us the Dean Martin (yours truly) and Jerry Lewis (Fish and Deep) of the Forum.

Or, to put it another way -- without their blue sky evolutionary claims -- what material would I have for showing the Gospel to be so true?

My Friend, while I do not believe in ecumenical worship services, i.e., Christians, Muslims, Hindus, etc., all worshiping together -- I don't have any problem with us mixing it up on the Forum. It gives us many perspectives of world religion: Atheism, Islam, Hindu, Buddhist, etc., and we Christian believers can show why Jesus is the only Way, Truth, Life.

Or, maybe EH could start two new Forums: one for Faith -- and another for Atheism. Smile, Joy, I'm only joking!

I need Fish and Deep to help me explain Christianity and the Gospel.

Possibly that is true for the religion of atheism and other world religions. However a Faith Forum where those of the Christian Faith can have discussions would be strongly welcomed.
