On the radio this morning, on the top of the hour news clip (Blaze News), I was told what it took for a woman candidate for the senate in Iowa (I think) to win an election.  Her main two commercials was:  one in which she talked about her experiences castrating hogs and one that had a video of her shooting a gun.  I had often wondered what it took to qualify.

There you go again, posting nonsense.

Joni Ernst (born July 1, 1970, Red Oak, Iowa) is an American politician who serves as a Republican member of the Iowa Senate and as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Iowa Army National Guard. She is the GOP nominee for the United States Senate from Iowa in the 2014 midterms election

Before being elected to the Iowa Senate, Ernst was elected the Montgomery County Auditor in 2004 and re-elected in 2008.[2]

Ernst was elected to the State Senate in a special election in 2011 and re-elected in 2012. She represents District 12, which serves the southwest part of the state.[3][4][5][6] In the Iowa Senate, Ernst is a ranking member of the Education Standing Committee, and also serves on the Veteran Affairs, Appropriations, Rules & Administration and Human Resources Standing Committees. Ernst is also a member of the Administration & Regulation Budget Subcommittee.

Ernst has served a combined 21 years in the United States Army Reserves and the Iowa Army National Guard. She spent 14 months mobilized and overseas in Kuwait from 2003-2004 as a company commander at the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom.[3][4] Her unit was responsible for running logistical convoys in Kuwait and into southern Iraq. A Lieutenant Colonel, Ernst currently commands the largest battalion in the Iowa Army National Guard.

Those two things alone provide more real life experience than the current POTUS had before he was elected.  Sounds like she was too qualified to run on the Democratic ticket if you ask me.

Jt, you might worry about a candidate's ability to castrate the pigs who are more equal than the rest of us; I am more concerned with allowing some Democratic voters out of the asylums.

State Sen. Leland Yee might have officially dropped out of the race to become California’s next secretary of state in March, but that did little to diminish his numbers on election night Tuesday.

Yee, who was arrested back in March on gun smuggling charges, finished astoundingly well, with nearly 300,000 people checking his name on the ballot Tuesday – despite not campaigning at all since his arrest, allegedly plotting to deal weapons with a radical Islamic group in the Philippines, and maintaining a close connection with a powerful Chinese gangster who was also arrested in the sting.

I sincerely hope you kept the receipt, since I paid for my education out of my own pocket, it is my hope you might be able to get some of that money back you claim you spent.  It will go a a long way in providing antipsychotic meds.

Don't fool yourself QD into believing that medical schools are truly supplemented by the government.  The tuition is enormous and most people in medical school will leave owing hundreds of thousands of dollars.  If the government truly wants a single payor system, which I think is the liberal goal, then the first thing they will have to address is this issue.  I will be more than happy to discuss it with you, but not on this thread, since it was originated to talk about true job experiences of politicians and their fitness to serve.

jt attempted to disparage a Republican candidate from her ad, without further researching her background. Turns out the lady has an impressive career. On TV, I heard her state she used the line in a debate and it sent over so well with Iowans, she decided to use it in her campaign.

To jt, I would suggest, before engaging mouth, first use brain to research a subject. Otherwise, it may make one look foolish.  One wouldn't wish to be compared with an old Squirrelly Dawg.

Well, that is interesting. You, an admitted die hard democrat, getting his news from a right wing source. More likely you were listening only to do just what you did, take a little snippet of something and post it in a way you thought would reflect badly on a republican. You should know by now that always blows back in your face.
