I have tried Rick’s in Elgin on a few occasions and never found the same quality as I have in Florence or Muscle Shoals. My last experience was so bad, I tossed it in the garbage.

I enjoy Rick’s food, but I would avoid that location with the exception of buying a snack and bottled drink, gas or to use the restroom.
The location is idea for someone with a quality product, especially in that area, but the locals have a following that is going to hard to pull from.

I wish the new owners the best.
I stopped by there a couple of sundays ago and seen the sign of new management. Really, I haven't seen any difference in the food from the other Ricks places but, I'd only eaten at the one in Elgin maybe 5 times.

I do agree with a poster before, that it is a ideal place for something like that if they can make it work.

Best of luck to the new owners.
I tried them when they first opened. Noticed one of the girls working with the food was licking her fingers to get sacks off of a pile and then going back to handling food. Watched this happen repeatedly. Notified the health dept but don't know if anything changed. Last time I ate there though.

Just a side note; their diesel pumps didn't have a card reader. Thought that was rather stupid considering the place is new. Getting soaked in the rain going in to pay didn't help my opinion of the place.
The wife and I actually had pretty good luck there. Our BBQ sandwiches and tri-taters that we ordered were actually very good and were very hot. On the downside though the size of the sandwiches were noticeably smaller than the Rick's at Muscle Shoals or the one at Florence. The Large Sandwich actually had less meat than the regular sandwich at Muscle Shoals and Florence. Taste wise though we liked the Elgin location (the time we ate there) but then we just ate there two times, on our way from Rogersville.
