Hi to all my Forum Friends,
LAST NIGHT I WATCHED THE BAMA-OHIO STATE GAME - and I was disappointed in the outcome. Disappointed, but not ashamed of the BAMA team. This morning at 4 AM I woke from a dream. In that dream I watched a boxing match, a match between a man who had been a respected champion in my mind and another I knew not so well. In that match, the respected champion was beaten, but not shamed.
It is that way in life, two championship caliber opponents meet in a contest -- and one must lose. But, having made it to that level in the competition, both can walk away with heads held high knowing that both are champions -- yet only one won the contest.
On January 12th, Oregon and Ohio State will meet to determine who will be the final 2015 champion. Living in California I will, of course, cheer for the PAC-12 team, Oregon. Yet, in reality, there are four championship caliber teams who came on the field today, and one will eventually walk away as the final champion.
However, we Alabama fans can be very proud of our BAMA team. Matter of fact, whether you were rooting for Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, or Florida State -- we were all rooting for champions. On January 12th, the final champion will be crowned for the 2015 season. And, we all can be proud that we cheered for a winner.
Of course, I will always be shouting ROLL TIDE, ROLL!
To this BAMA team -- THANK YOU for an exciting season. And, may God be with each and every one one you in your future endeavors in life.
God bless, have a wonderful New Year!
Bill
