Roy Moore files complaint to delay election certification

While Republicans whine incessantly about Hillary, Roy Moore continues to make excuses and refuses to accept election results. What an embarrassment to Alabama and Republicans.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – An election complaint was filed Wednesday on behalf of Roy Moore and his campaign for Senate.  The complaint was filed in Circuit Court in Montgomery.

According to a release from the campaign, “The purpose of the complaint is to preserve evidence of potential election fraud and to postpone the certification of Alabama’s Special Election by Secretary of State John Merrill until a thorough investigation of potential election fraud, that improperly altered the outcome of this election, is conducted.”

The release mentions three Election Integrity experts as saying that “with a reasonable degree of statistical and mathematical certainty…election fraud occurred.”

The complaint includes an affidavit from Judge Roy Moore stating that he successfully completed a polygraph test confirming the representations of misconduct made against him during the campaign are completely false.

“This is not a Republican or Democrat issue as election integrity should matter to everyone,” said Moore. “We call on Secretary of State Merrill to delay certification until there is a thorough investigation of what three independent election experts agree took place: election fraud sufficient to overturn the outcome of the election.”

The State Canvassing Board is scheduled to meet Thursday, December 28 to certify the results of the special U.S. Senate Election held December 12.

Results from earlier this month showed a victory for Democrat Doug Jones by a margin of more than 21,000 votes.  The number of provisional and military ballots received was not enough to make up the difference and trigger a recount.

Original Post

(CNN) — Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill confirmed Thursday morning that Democrat Doug Jones will be certified the winner of the Alabama special Senate election despite Republican Roy Moore’s refusal to concede and request for a new election.

Roy Moore claims to have taken, and passed, a Polygraph, after the election, and to me that indicates he's certainly not the candidate the Republicans should have running for any position.  The time to have taken a polygraph was up front, right away, and BEFORE the election when the results could have made a potential difference.  Either he had the most incompetent people advising and leading him or he is for following their advice if in fact he was given advice.

His, now, attempt to postpone certification is sour grapes, on his part and with regards to me all it does is insure that whatever Moore does the rest of his life it will not have my support or my vote.  I'm thru with Roy Moore and I believe his actions with regards to this election has politically damaged him for any future races he might choose to run for, including Governor of Alabama, which I wouldn't doubt he won't choose to run for.

So what could be all lies from the Soros gang to take Moore out
worked just as well on you as other dems. Did Moore touch
or grab anyone, no, all they had was him asking for a date.
Which in those days wasn't a crime, but lying about written
evidence proven to be forged has always been a crime.
At least Moore is a conservative but for the ones supporting
the liberal don't whine about not passing a new Healthcare
or losing the senate.

All the sanctimonious feel good crap someone could muster
is worthless against a cult that will die trying to take this country.
You can't pick and choose different sides for silly reasons and
bipartisanship needs to be dropped to the bottom of the latrine.

He passed so what's your problem? My understanding it was taken before the election. You aren't upset that a LIE cost him and election?? So you won't vote for him again?? Something tells me you never voted for him in the past and never had any intention of voting for him at all.

Kraven, nothing was forged in the yearbook. A name and date were added - that's all. You notice that StatutoryRoy never used the term "forged." He always used the term "tampered with."

Lie detector tests? There's a reason they aren't admissible in court. They aren't worth very much. Take the same test four times and the fourth time Charles Manson could pass it.

Third, who knows what cost him the election? Perhaps voters simply didn't like an incompetent buffoon who continues to bilk the gullible public out of their hard earned money for his "foundation."

I believe that would be forged, misleading and criminal  to place it into
evidence

Who the **** is Charles Manson

Fake news and G. Soros cost him the election. That isn't a perhaps,
and you can't BS any better than Betternu.......

My, above, statement had nothing to do with Moore's innocence or guilt in the accusations, I voted for him because I didn't accept the research against him and felt he was unjustly attacked.  My statement was based on Moore coming out strong and with a polygraph AFTER the election had happened and he lost.

Had Moore had a passed polygraph in hand before the election and called for the women to take one then he very well or surly might have been Senator today and the one who was certified the winner.   His failure to do what should have been obviously apparent, before the election, to me, demonstrates incompetence on his part.  After is not the time to take the steps he took but before and fight like crazy.  Instead Roy Moore did a media "rope a dope" move and essentially did nothing, himself, to actually bring about doubt in the minds of those who were on the fence, about voting for him.

That's the reason I could never support him now is if he was that incompetent to do what was needed before the election then come around after it, after he was defeated, and cry and stomp that things were unfair then he didn't deserve it in the first place.  That's my opinion, though!  I don't like that Jones got elected and he did it with Millions of outside money and accusations that never should have been made but the fault still lies upon Moore for not doing what should have been done to begin with.  If I had been Moore, having such accusations made and knowing they were false I would have had at least two different polygraphs the week after the accusations came out and then offered to pay for polygraphs for the women doing the accusations.    I'd have had my hand on a very public Bible swearing my innocence to God also in front of everyone and doing so as often as possible.  None of that did Roy Moore do before the election so main fault for his loss doesn't lie in Soros or Democrat finance pacs but on Moore and his Campaign itself.   Secondary blame, above the democrat money, I'd put squarely on Richard Shelby and other Republican Senators and politicians who pretty much agreed with the accusations.

I voted for Moore, I'd do it again if it was before the election but after seeing how he has handled this I have lost trust that he should be given another chance as I don't think he's used good judgment at all when he needed it most.  Again that is my opinion and if I'm wrong please tell me where Moore did use good judgement and what he did right other than address the yearbook discretion.  They did a good job of addressing that so give them a B+ to A- for that effort but a total F in addressing the more hurtful accusations of the woman who claimed she was 14 at the time.  I wish Mo Brooks had of been our candidate as I did not like Luther Strange at all, either, but that didn't happen and Moore was the candidate and the Republicans lost that seat, I believe, due to Moore's campaign's failure to handle themselves before the Campaign in the same way and with the vigor that they are approaching it after the votes are tallied.
