I was listen to a little sports talk radio the other day and the hosts were saying how Saben keeps saying no.But he loves the press so much he hasn't said I WILL be in Miami in 2007.
From what I have read/heard, he has pretty much said he will be in Miami (unless they fire him) for the 2007 season. Maybe you and I are hearing/reading different things into what we hear/read?
Just heard on ESPN, Saben admited,he has spoke with Alabama about the job, I think he just enjoys the press. No way, I think now, he would leave to take the job. He is feeding his own ego.
If I was a coach, and this has nothing to do with me being an Auburn grad, I would not go to the snake pit over in Tuscaloosa. The BOT and Mal Moore are ruining things over there. It makes this state and the school look laughingstock.
The Orlando Sun is reporting Nick Saben is on a plane to the U.A. campus to make his offical announcement, that he has accepted the job of head coach at the University of Alabama.
Originally posted by taint: Yes, it's offical the Miami's owner is having a press conference as I type. Saben IS the next head coach of the Crimson Tide.
Yep, it is official.. guess he really didn't want to make an ironclad decision until after the season? Not sure, but if they allow him to do his job, get rid of Mal Moore, then THE TIDE WILL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, Brent, you make friends every where you go, eh?
I knew he would take the job. He couldn't officially talk about it until after the NFL season. With that much money being thrown at him, he'd be crazy not to take it. Just like I figured, as soon as Miami played their last game, he accepted the offer. Let's just hope he's worth the money.
