my mom used to make it. and i wanna say its as simple as snow, milk, and vanilla...but i could be wrong. i'd just google it. google has the answer for everything.
My grandmother always said you never use the first snow of the season, it had to do with the snow being pure but that was over 30 years ago.
I wonder, the way the enviroment is now would it be safe to make snow cream from the snow?
In a large bowl, mix together the 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk with the 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Once this has been mixed together, gently add in the 8 cups of snow. Stir gently until it has been fully mixed together.
We always made it with just regular milk, sugar and vanilla with my mom and always with the first snow or whatever snow we could get off of the car and it was delicious!
The TimesDaily says southern folk buy milk when snow is in the forecast, so they can make snow cream. I say buy a can of eggnog. It will keep a year and makes great snowcream, mixed straight. My husband loves it!
