Went there for lunch today and got it to go and went to the river. EXELENT sandwich with very good prices. I now like Southern better than Bunyans. Check out the one on Pine StreetAlways good but call your order in and it will be ready when ya get there.

I'll add to that. Southern BBQ also has the best BBQ Chicken breast as well.

Are some locations better than others? I've only had Southerns on Wilson Dam Rd and going toward HK Hospital. Didn't care for either of those.

Yes, they have good barbecue, but they have always been so S L O W. Good idea to phone in ahead of time.

I have had to wait there so long for a simple order that I wondered if someone had gone to find a live pig to get started with!

Yes, they are franchises. The one in N. Florence doesn't have any sister stores. Their french fries are great.
