We decided to check it out last Saturday. This turned out to be a huge mistake. We expected them to be working out the kinks so we came into the situation with a very open mind When they told us we would have an hour wait, we thought "okay, it's a nice night out by the water, we'll wait" and we did. We waited and waited--we were a party of 9 so we agreed to split up if that would make the seating open any quicker. After an hour passed we checked in at the desk just to see how much longer and to remind them that we were fine with being split up--they were "getting our table together" right that second so it shouldn't be long. We hung around by the door near the podium and checked back again after 15 more minutes. After an hour and 40 minutes (I know, I know most would have thrown in the towel at that point but we KNEW as soon as we left our table would be ready) we came back and asked about our table--well, they sat another large group at our table without realizing it--now they had our cell number (that is how they buzz you to your table) but never called us so I'm not sure how they got us confused with the other party. We were seated shortly after that at three separate 4-tops all next to each that hadn't been pulled together for us so we did it ourselves.
No kid's menu?!?!? I've never heard of this. If my 7 year old wanted chicken tenders it would have been $9 and much more food than she could have eaten but luckily we talked her into a baked potato
Our poor waitress was overworked and not all that experienced, I do not believe, but she was sweet and did her best. The tortilla chips that came with our dip were not cooked and over half of the basket was limp and loaded with grease. My brother ordered grilled shrimp with his steak and they came out fried (this was not the waitress's fault as she did put grilled on the ticket) and then the runner who brought them out made it clear that he didn't want to make it right by explaining that it would take a "long time" to get the grilled shrimp out to my brother.
After ALLLLL of that we had had enough. It was getting comical. We asked for a manager and she was very interested in seeing the chips and the shrimp. She apologized, quickly brought out a grilled shrimp skewer and did take the dips off of our order.
I know this was their first weekend so we will give them another chance down the road but probably not on a weekend night. This experience took us 3 hours and I do have to take some of the blame for not leaving after they sat someone else at our table but we had high hopes that that would be the worst of it.
