I know absolutely nothing about the various individuals running for the various Colbert County judgeships. Enlighten me, please, with regards to each candidates quailifications, closet skeletons, etc.... TIA

Dog,
I have been examining the condidates. Here is what I've found so far. Tina Parker is one I won't be voting for. She has seemed to go from Lauderdale County to Colbert just for this election. She joined a big church on this side of the river conveniently.

I have real problems with who her friends are. She seems to be associated heavily with the "Black Sheep", a group of people banned from these forums for their behavior.

She has a blog that seems to be doing a hatchett job on her opponents called Shoalandaspeaks. I have a real problem with the attacks on Tim Milam as his qualifications actually make hers look squalid.

It is said that there have been threats made to the Times Daily over negative posts on here about her. A would be judge against free speech, imagine that.

If she can't handle the criticism, she isn't able to handle the job either.

why would you write this without knowing the facts?

i can state for a FACT, Shoalandaspeaks has no connection to any candidate.
i know for a fact Ms. Parker graduated from Muscle Shoals high school.
i know for a fact Ms. Parker is NOT the one that called the Times Daily and had topics removed.

so, after reading your post, i'd like to know what orifice you got your facts from? wait, never mind. i think i can smell from here!

Sounds like you have personal issues with Ms. Parker. Your ccmments seemed based on gossip rather than facts. Why don't you name your favorite candidate and explain his/her qualifications?

Never met her. As I've never met Tim Milam or Chad Coker either. I am looking at who they hang out with and what influences their decisions. Tina get an F on all three.

I love a good insult in the morning. Great representation of your candidate. Now people here just need to know who her friends are and that will complete the deal.

So how do the other candidates rate in your opinion and why?
This is a quote from Tim Milam from the Shoals Insider.

"It is crucial for any District Court Judge to have children. I have biological children and have adopted a child. Until a person walks in the shoes they should not be allowed to Judge others. How can any person who does not have children be, qualified to decide all the issues for any child in District Court? I do not believe they can. A Judge should have their own children before they can understand how to treat someone else’s children. District Court Judge also hear adoptions under certain circumstances. I have handled many, many adoptions. Further, as stated above, I have adopted a child. Two of the other candidates do not even have children. None of the other candidates have ever adopted a child."

So, by what he just said, if you dont have children you arent qualified. Does that also mean if you havent stolen something, you cannot be qualified either? Not a very wise statement for someone wanting to be a judge. Judges should have a certain amount of wisdom. This will probably be the hottest area race.

Wow! what if he had a black person in court? Would he have to recuse himself because he wouldn't be qualified to understand what a black person needed?
Oh, Dogsoldier, to answer your question. I have met or know all of the candidates but one. I have never met Nathan Johnson, but have heard he is a decent guy. Of the Others Polly Ruggles, Tina Parker and Chad Coker are all honorable people who would be a good pick for this position. I had rather not comment on Tim Milam, my mother always said "if you dont have anything good to say about someone, dont say anything at all."

....Yes please tell us who you support and why!!
Tina Parker is a Colbert County girl who thought she was going to land the Lauderdale County District Court appointment til she figured out there was a residence requirement. She conveniently found the Lord just in time for the campaign but better late than never. And she has very close ties to ShoalandaSpeaks or someone there as when it was pointed out the ads on there, that she claimed appeared without her knowledge, were no in compliance with the ethical requirements of the State Bar, the disappeared in mere minutes. She sure knew who to call.
Chad Coker is the only reasonable candidate for my vote.

I have asked him twice to give his opinions on the other candidates, but he has not answered me. He has taken time to accuse another poster of insulting him, but not to pontificate on the other candidates, only Ms. Parker. Kinda makes you wonder, don't it?

If you had bothered to read the thread i have stated that I haven't made a decision yet as who to vote for.

Now I have question for you and Just. I have stated that i am registered to vote in Colbert County. Please declare the county you are registered to vote in.

Jugflier, aka Rrammlin, is a former Black Sheep and due to his hatred for them (because he was banned from their forum for his hateful behavior) he has decided he has it in for this particular candidate simply because some of them think she would make a good judge and stated so way back when on this forum after she first announced her intention to run(hence her "association" with the Black Sheep). He has also been disproved on his claim that the Shoals Insider and/or Shoalanda speaks is in any way supporting or associated with this candidate, much less owned, as he claimed, by her family. However, I doubt you will see any retraction by him for the above statements.

Whatever you're smoking, don't get caught with it.
I am not Rram, never was a Black Sheep, peep, or henchie. The reason you don't know who I am is that you spent all your time in miscellaneous and feedback forums fighting those wars.

Your in the Politics forum now, that is my stomping grounds, and you've been stomped.
Now take your black sheep self back to rock you crawled out of.
