all true statements. but the base argument for global warming is that you have to look at the AVERAGE temperatures. sure this week has been crazy, but who's to say that over the next 10 years the average temperature for the winter rises from a hypothetical 43 degrees to 47 degrees. you'll have really cold days mixed in but you have to look at the overall picture. i'm not a supporter of "Global Warming", i'm just stating what seems like obvious facts but most of the time are overlooked by the people against warming.
I'm not against global warming nor am I overlooking obvious facts. The globe has warmed and cooled several times in history, long before man started rubbing 2 sticks together. If the base argument as you claim is AVERAGE temperatures where do we get those average temps and for how long a period do we need to average? Unless you've been living under a rock or in a life of luxery the people who are supposed to be tracking this data have been caught lying and manipulating the data to reach "their" conclusion. Now the original data seems to be lost. Could man be causing problems for the environment? Possibly, but I can not support any new measures that would harm our economy until we have a thorough non-political scientific study completed to confirm the facts. The liberals want to point to things such as polar ice melting to support their argument but don't want to hear the fact that polar ice is growing in other regions. You don't make decisions before you know the facts and right now we do not know the facts.
hey i couldn't agree more. most records only go back a little over a hundred years anyways. i guess i'm neutral on the whole situation. sure the planet has warmed and cooled several times as the history of the ice age and mini ice ages has shown us. are we at the end of a warm period headed to a cool one? maybe...or are we just at the beginning of the next hot one. no one truly knows the causes and i do agree that more legit research should be done.
The Global Warming zealots admitted they were wrong when they STOPPED calling it "global warming" and started calling it "climate change". It's pretty much ALWAYS going to be a little warmer or cooler than it was the year before so if that "trend" happens two years in a row they have an "alarming trend" of CLIMATE CHANGE (start scary music!)
