Obama is not ISIS but his weak leadership and strategy are allowing ISIS to continue.   His stupid idea that it is hard for ISIS or other terrorists to move to Europe and America with other "refugees" is crazy.  The only way to know if they are terrorist is they have been on a watchlist they mostly do not carry valid ID. and no way to confirm their ID via Syria.  It is a fact the the only reason ISIS is killing other Muslims is because they are another sect of Islam.  The Muslims have been killing each other for 100's of years and it will not change in the short term.  Why do you think they are coming to Europe instead of Saudi, Iran etc?  They site terrorist fears and the refugees do not want to go there because there is no social net for refugees.   Americans safety should come first and every veteran should be helped before any refugee.

And how does THAT have anything to do with whether Obama is in sympathy with ISIS or with Islamic terrorism generally, as so many wingnuts claim? Now expel your straw man and put something of substance and relevance in his place.

ISIS is the ticked off offshoot of the Rebels who were battling Assad.  Assad was a genius in that he released all the thugs from jail to go and join the rebels in an attempt for them to loose public approval.  Unfortunately, the US (Obama administration), decided to back these rebels against Assad.  In typical fashion the more extreme of the of the rebels split off, taking much of the arms with them and became ISIS (or ISIL, I have yet to see reputable sources where Obama came up with that name) with an expressed desire to fight their former rebel buddies, as well as the Turks and the Kurds. Now you have Iran and Russia who decides to back Assad to fight the rebels, but not necessarily ISIS. ISIS makes mistake and tacks a Russian plane, bringing the Russians to bear against them. The Russians however also bomb the Rebels, of which the US side.

The whole situation is a cloudy mess which basically boils down to Shia vs. Sunni. There is no good outcome, but everyone agrees that the ISIS (ISIL) amry must be destroyed.

Before this nation let the neocons get us into the war with Iraq, numerous sociologists and anthropologists warned that any beneficial  outcome of such a venture was unlikely.  They knew, as many others did, that Iraq has long been an artificial nation established by international fiat, and  cursed from the beginning with religious and ethnic factions hostile to one another.  The only practical way for such a fractured nation to be governed in peace is by a powerful and autocratic central government, such as a dictatorship. Our entry, along with that of other nations, in that coalition that ultimately wrecked the country, also coaxed out and inspired radical Islam to enter the conflict and purge the "crusaders," namely us and our allies. It has gotten progressively worse over time and ISIL (ISIS) is the latest chapter in this debacle. "ISIL," by the way,  stands for "Islamic State in the Levant." It was used more frequently in the early days of what is now more often referred to as ISIS. If you don't know what the Levant is, then Google it up for yourself.

More "Blame Bush"...Unfortunately, allowing a dictator to rule a country, and gas his own people with chemical weapons, while threatening to do the same to the rest of the world community, is not something that most sane people can tolerate.  Saddam was a blowhard who liked to make himself look big and strong.  he had built the fourth largest army in the world, and was known to not only have used chemical weapons in his fight against Iran, but also gassed thousands of Kurds, innocent people and children who were members of his own country. Almost every intelligence agency in the world was convinced he had WMDs and would probably use them.  Some of them probably made their way to Syria.  Blaming Bush for this ME mess is just more of the Liberalist swine drivel who refuse to admit that there are bad people in the world who would do us wrong.  As Nixon once said "Those who beat their swords into plowshares, will plow for those who didn't."

ISIS/ISIL/Daesh began in Syria as part of the Arab April.  Remember how that was touted by the left!  The US and French gave support to those who wished to overthrow Assad.  in Libya, the French and Americans went even further -- using military force to overthrow Qaddafi (why was Obama destroying an Arab strong man, OK. but Bush doing so, so terrible?).  Qaddafi had turned over all his nuclear weapons material and was making nice.  Qaddafi's son called Hillary to arrange a truce -- a call she refused.  After Libya fell, much of their weaponry left the nation -- by ship to Syria and in the hands of Qaddafi's erstwhile central African mercenaries by truck.  ISIS got the weapons sent to :Syria and Boko Haram got the weapons going south. ISIS used those weapons to expand their caliphate in Syria and then south to Iraq.

If Bush did so much wrong by invading Iraq, why are we not hearing more about the Obama/Clinton assistance in Libya and Syria.  Shouldn't they had taken Iraq as an object lesson.

Wozzie, I am truly touched by you latest comment -- truly!  When, a leftie plays the race card, it means he has nothing left. That he has reached the depths of his intellect (no matter how shallow).

The left has thrown around the charge of racist (once considered truly terrible) so often that it has lost all meaning. On a blog, one leftie attempted to defend calling one a racist, who was defaming Islamists. Hint, dufi (is that the plural of dufus), Islam ain't a race, its a religion.  Are all atheists racists if they say something against a religion -- NO!

It has become so vapid, that  T-shirts with the logo "A Democrat Called Me A Racist" are common at conservative conclaves -- very funny when worn by Asian and Black conservatives.

I say Hillary stumbling over the term radical Islam, preferring the term jihadi -- big mistake. A number of Muslims take offence to that -- claiming jihad can mean inner or outer struggle/  I suggest the best terms are Islamist and Islamicist -- both used in the ME by Muslims to describe their crazier brethren.

One could almost imagine a present day Democrat calling soldiers in WWII Germanophobes because, shortly, they were going to kill a great number of NSDAP, who also happened to be Germans.  One can also imagine those GIs beating the snot out of such Democrats.

What is you obsession with cats?  Is it Freudian -- the only kitty you will ever get?  Don't own a cat, nor have owned one for over 20 years.  FYI, spend about one hour a day, 5 days a week at the gym.  I am out and about amongst you!
