Well it obviously isn't because of religion. We can thank logic and reason for modification of strict religious dogmas. This is what strikes me as "monotheistic slavery." Some pun intended. But, when one admits that a book was written (or by proxy) by the creator of the universe and that it is a perfect document, one is held hostage by that scripture. The Bible as we know it is heavily edited ancient tribal text. Are there some great life lessons in there? Absolutely, it is filled with horrific acts as well. It is the best example of first century Jewish philosophy we have.

Most religion is recycled principle with a dash of the supernatural. Anyone who has studied history or philosophy in depth has seen this......
