Now is NOW. Bush is GONE.

Fair enough. Why do you think electing more Reps will have different results??? It wont.
Do you want to get current Ronnie P? This is the first article I grabbed I can get plenty more of where the republican congress being obstructionist have impeded any actual legislative action, and if you want I will include a qoute from your house leader on how they intend to CONTINUE to be obstructionist in case their is a lame duck session

Senate's Next Top Model: The Obstructionist GOP Edition
The Huffington Post | Elyse Siegel
News From health care reform to the confirmation of countless Obama administration appointee
Republican members of the United States Senate have been on a non-stop campaign to obstruct initiatives put forth by Democrats and the White House.

Sens. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) and Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) are among those paving the way to cement the GOP's reputation as being the "party of no." The conservative Senators say "nay" to legislation in roll call votes more frequently than any of their colleagues on either side of the aisle, according to data analysis conducted by Brighten Godfrey at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Godfrey, whose research examines Senate roll call votes recorded over the last 20-plus years, writes:

Does one party vote "no" more often? ... There is some signal in this data, such as the Republican takeover in the mid-90s. And 2010 is so far at very low fraction of Yea votes by Republicans (49%), beat only by 1993 (43%).
It seems that Sarah Palin would be pleased with the finding. "Party of no? Nah. We're the party of 'hell no,'" the ex-Alaska Governor boasted back in April.

So, which sitting Republican Senators most frequently adhere to a "just say no" mantra when it comes time to cast an up or down vote?
If it was a SANE republican party there might be more mainstream support but Dick Armey and Freedom Works made sure that the Koch Brothers and Roger Ailes along with Rupert Murdoch CREATED the TEA PARTY movement and took over the Republican party before President Obama and his administration had the opportunity to act on any of his campaign promises. The president's biggest mistake from healthcare to the present is TRUSTING the Dick Armey Republicans.
You know I have been around the forums long enough to remember the nasty tirades the libs would throw when Bush was in office. The hate would ooze from every post. Topics predictably would come from Huff and Puff, The Daily Kos, Alternet, Prison Planet, Info Wars, and any blog site that could be found that painted Bush as a moron, buffoon, idiot, the missing link (with pictures), as Hitler, as Satan, etc. There would be videos of Cindy Shehan crying for the wars to end, Code Pink protesting, eggs being thrown, slurs hailed, Pelosi yelling that people should be allowed access to Bush's ranch, Media Matters cheering when ill befell him or a government memeber and posting with detail and glee if he choke on a potato chip. he was bashed so much for trying to relax and play a round of golf, that he quit. Obama has golfed more than Bush did in 8 years.

His family, his friends, his history was inspected and dissected meticulously. Grades were known, clubs he was in, ridicule for being a cheerleader ( think about guys, don't you want to be the guy holding up the pyramid of girls), having a DUI when he was 21, and on and on.

The libs would rail about how awful he was. Conservatives would defend his policies, and explain that the doing the best he can but policies from decades ago were still having effects.

Now Obama is the President. Now it is time for the conservatives to complain, and they have but not with the nasty tirades and the gutter language and the vile pictures. With facts.

And the libs, instead of defending Obama, are still attacking Bush.

If you can't defend his policies, why are you still behind him?
And as for informationclearinghouse, not exactly an unbiased or reliable source.

See above post. The democrats made the mistake of trying to WORK with the obstuctionist Republicans. I will allow this, IF the republicans take over the house next Tuesday, I hope they will not follow through on their threats to create more gridlock. But, that is just wishful thinking and I know you can't be nice with rattlesnakes. I wish the democratic congress and senate members and the president had realized that about 2 years ago. Should have taken a page from Boehners playbook. What goes around comes around? No, I don't think so, Democrats are better than that!

Sound small and GRASSROOTS to me! Not backed by any 527 groups. This sound like the type of blog b50m would be in love with if she really followed the original premise of the tea party and not the Dick Armey/Freedom Works rebranded version of Jerry Falwell's Christian Coalition, of course it is not radical right wing, so according to her indoctrination that makes it suspect, "not exactly unbiased and reliable source."

Interesting how many, that are being polled, are saying that Bush was a better President than Obama. I think that both had their problems but regardless of their accomplishments Bush upheld the office of the President where Obama is an embarrassment and has diminished the Office of the President. That's one thing Bush never did.

Can you back up your opinion with facts grbk? Just how has the world seen President Obama as an embarrassment compared to George W. Bush? If we are talking domestic, can you present these "polls" you refer to? And if you can, please provide provenance. Thank you.

Hey Bullwinkle,
Has your hero President Hussein proved he's an American yet?

B, I think mad.bum's post (right above this one) will show you that Republicans indeed DO use nasty and baseless insults. I've seen pictures of Obama labeled the AntiChrist, a Muslim terrorist, a Kenyan, and with the Hitler moustache. You have too.

Obama is not the anti-christ or hitler, but he's probably not American either; and he dang sure is a crappy President.
