White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs took a swipe at Sarah Palin Tuesday, mimicking the former vice presidential candidate's decision to use her hand as a notepad at the National Tea Party Convention last week.

At least we know the White House has their priorities straight. Why is EVERYONE so afraid of this woman?

Run Sarah Run

Oba uhhh totally ummmmm takes offense uhhhhh at ummmm your ummmmmm statement.
Here's my attempt at bleeding heart liberalism:
Robert Gibbs is the BIGGEST male chauvinist PIG I have EVER seen. What's he trying to say with that GARBAGE written on his hand? It looks like a grocery list! Is he implying that women should stick to the role of homemaker and stay out of politics?!? No, YOU go buy the groceries, BUDDY!!!

There. I tried.
By far the BEST commentary on Palin's PalmPrompter is the cartoon on the editorial page of today's Times Daily. A typically deer-in-the-headlights caricature of Palin shows her with open palms, one inscribed "right" and the other "left."

A Pulitzer-prizeworthy effort from the great cartoonist, CLAY BENNETT, of the Chattanooga Times Free Press!

People making fun of Sarah Palin does not offend me. In these tough economic times, people drawing paychecks to be funny, who are not remotely talented or funny...that offends me.

You really cannot visualize anything. Your head is in another region of your body. The press secretary is an absolute Wing-Nut. God knows you people are totally nut cases.

Tsk, tsk, tsk... If you don't try to get better, that is overcome your obsession, you'll never get better... never... Wink

It appears that White House press secretary Robert Gibbs' Southern charm has run its course with the press corps (or as the president might say, the "corpse" people).

Just 24 hours after his lame attempt at mocking Governor Sarah Palin, a study reveals that Gibbs' jokes are falling flat more and more often in the briefing room. According to Politico.com, back in May the briefings were interrupted more than 10 times a day by laughter. However, in recent months the number of laughs have been cut in half.

According to one White House reporter, "Robert's little digs and evasions have lost their power to amuse.... Reporters know how close the press secretary is to the president and yet the quality of information we get doesn't often reflect that."

Sounds like the honeymoon may be just about over.
