I just love this one. Should cionveince stores be allowed to sale beer on Sundays? YES! Personally I do not drink at all. But folks think, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE! I do not give a hoot what day of the week it is. If it will generate more money for our area then go for it. For instance if a tourist walks into Wal-Mart on Sunday wanting to buy the mess he can't. Furthermore he will probaly NEVER visit our area again. People we are sitting on a GOLD MINE here in Florence. Trust me here. I talk to folks from out of town here every day. It is an embaressment to tell them " NO ALCOHOL SALES ON SUNDAY!" They THINK I am joking. Wake up folks and get out of your 1950"S shell!

Swindle, I agree. I don't drink either, but who cares what others want on whatever day of the week it is.

Besides, people drink on Sunday, they just buy what they want on Saturday, I have friends who do that, lol. And if they forget, they just catch a restuarant in Florence and drink anyway.

It is silly to make laws that forbid grown people to make choices on what day to puchase anything.
it's true, gus. i walked in the grocery store and went to the beer cooler to look for some exotic thing (since it was sunday, i knew i couldn't buy any), and there was a little piece of paper taped up, 'beer sales on sunday after 1 pm'

i was happy, since it was 1:30 ha!

not sure why the time limit, but what the heck? it's better than none on sunday.
